Dan Graziano of ESPN: Brady's camp does not expect Berman to rule in their favor

All this angst about an ESPN report? Really?

Quick - name the non-patriot affiliated ESPN employees who've said anything not favoring the NFL's case...... Hmmmmmm

Greetings from DC all!
Jamele Hill and Michael Smith of His and Hers have been pretty fair throughout this whole ordeal and neither of them are Patriots fans, as they stated today on their show. Since the beginning, Jamele has always thought this was about hatred for the Pats and was able to see through all of the NFL BS. At first Mike thought Brady was guilty of doing something but after spending the weekend reading the Wells report after it was released concluded that there were way to many glaring holes in the whole thing. They both say you can't just assume Brady did anything when the NFL didn't even bother to discount the science. Mike really went off on the NFL and their sloppiness today and even talked about ESPN a bit ( denying that he, himself, was in the NFL's pocket even though it is perceived that the ESPN caters to the NFL). I have boycotted ESPN for the most part, but they are one exception. The problem is they are not big names like the lier Mort, so maybe they are treated differently at ESPN.

Welcome and good post. I'm looking for a link to that show today. Jan join date and first post? Damn, hope to hear more in the future.

Before I put this in the ******** column, I need to hear what Mortensen has to say first

@mchorowitz The people to whom I'm talking on the union/Brady side do not expect the decision to go their way.

@epaulson89 They like their case, and the way it’s dragged on has increased their optimism. But they still know the odds are against them.

@pedroiar I'm not trying to tell you what WILL happen, or SHOULD happen. I'm telling you what the parties involved EXPECT to happen.

the judge and Goodell will need to be placed into the witness protection program. There WILL be torches and pitchforks as all of New England goes all Salem Witches on the rest of the world

Thanks Viper! Lurking for quite some time. Thanks to everyone on this board I have managed to stay sane through the madness...not many Pats fans in my circles but many of us definitely do exist outside of New England. Here is a non-espn link to today's His and Hers audio. First 12 mins talk about deflategate and Concussion movie:

THIS IS PR 101 FOLKS - YOU DOWNPLAY EXPECTATIONS TO MINIMIZE DAMAGE NO MATTER WHAT

Even if you THINK YOU'LL WIN - THIS IS WHAT YOU SAY

Attorneys always understate their position while waiting for a verdict. I've been willing to bet my bank account on a verdict and told my colleagues that it's a tough one that I could see going either way. No harm done if you win, softened blow if you lose.

I would bet money Brady remains suspended. The big corporation always wins

ESPN are the ballwashers for the NFL. Another pro-nfl "leak", gee how not surprising? And who the hell is Dan Grazno and what are his sources anyways? Of course not named!

nobody wants to hear this but all things considered, it's a long shot for Brady to win. precedent is against him, the only reason people's hopes went up is because of the grilling Berman gave the NFL a few weeks ago.

I don't get where this info is coming from or why anyone in Brady's camp would feel this way. Sounds like some dumbass reporter making up some BS to get clicks. I know the ruling in the end can go either way, but based on how the judge has seemed to view this ridiculous case you would think they would be somewhat confident and that the NFL's attorneys would be wary.

Are they running out of high profile guys to burn and decided to use 1-time use reporters for now?
It's really Mort using an alias.

But seriously, why would it be this unknown to "break" the story? Did someone from Brady's camp call him? Did he overhear it at ESPN? Was he there? I don't get it . . .

Looks like ESPN is doing a lot more than ballwashing.

Earlier today, Black Sports Online reported on a Twitter account that seemingly belonged to Jessica McCloughan. The account’s tweets accused ESPN anchor Dianna Russini of trading sexual favors for information, and of being Scot McCloughan’s “side piece.” At least, that’s what we think the accusations are, as they’re kind of incoherent.

Whats interesting is that his wife NEVER mentioned her name.

EDIT: I missed the direct tweet. Bad reporting. I work for ESPN and need more coffee:p

Are you sure?? In the second tweet, she cites "side chick (Dianna)"
