Berman can't modify the award; he can only vacate or confirm the arbitration award. Any modifications is not within the legal framework this case is based on and will likely be appealed by the NFL and NFLPA.

People are reading everything they can into everything they can think of. It's all a waste of time. For example, does the Brady team think they can lose? Sure, but just look at this thread, and you see the Anderson quote about how good they feel about their case, and you can counterpose it with regards to the Graziano quote.
