Bob McNair is not a very bright man

He does realize that he's got a head coach from the Belicheck tree plus both QB's???
RAC, Godsey, Vrabes and Anthony Pleasant are on BOBs staff.

He needs to take a good look around....

Don't forget Vince Wilfork, who actually played in the AFC Championship Game at the heart of Deflategate.

My dig at the owner not withstanding, I would love for Bill O'Brian to do well this year.

All this does is re-enforce the notion that the deck was stacked before this whole thing started. There is no evidence anything was done but the belief was there. The whole league is behind it.

Hearing what he said makes me feel a bit for Goodell. If he has people like this talking in his ear, of course he has no choice. We may all be taking our ire towards Goodell while the other owners are the real problem in this.

That's a good point. That's also the kind of situation where that "integrity" Goodell talks about so much would come into play - actually doing the right thing instead of appeasing jealous and/or uninformed people.

I feel no sense of remorse or connection to Roger Goodell. Quite the opposite actually.

I feel we may have deluded ourselves in thinking he welds some power, but whatever power he exerts is not of his own but the culmination of all the nudging of other owners which our Kraft was a chief when it affected other teams.

I wish I had Stephanie Stradley's balanced mind
If that is truly what you seek, it can be attained through frequent and intensive perspective taking. Not just briefly trying to think about something from another point of view, but spending long periods of time really trying to see deeply through different perspectives. It may seem difficult at first, but if you keep trying, you'll get better at it.

I realize that you can never truly see from another person's exact perspective, but frequent and rigorous attempts will yield powerful results. Not only will it increase creativity and empathy, it will help in your personal relationships, make you more tolerant of others, and will dramatically broaden your perspective over time. One of the most profound effects that I have found is an increasing ability to remove self from both thought and experience. When you can sufficiently quiet the self, you can think with much more clarity and balance while minimizing bias.

Not surprised at McNair's comments. It's what the clear majority of owners, media members, and opposing fan bases believe.

It's a shame.

I'm not delusional on this matter at all. Goodell continues to act like a POS. That has nothing to do with the owners. You can act in the best interests of the owners, the NFL and not be a dipshit.

As others have pointed out, can't get too worked up about this when Kraft 1) supported the commish after rice, 2) stood by when other teams got screwed

yeah, **** you. The owners wanted this one badly.

Interesting tweet/comment from Dale & Holley's producer on WEEI:

If you've noticed the that the audio of the Bob McNair interview isn't turning up anywhere, only quotes, it's not a coincidence.

In reading some of his other tweets on the topic, he reached out to a counterpart on a Houston station to see when audio of the interview would be uploaded. Prior Texans interviews were available on that station but the guy from EEI was later told that interview wouldn't be made available. The Texans own the audio and decided not to put it on the web. Seems like a conscious decision to only avoid sound bites from the interview being used.

Absolutely correct. Thank you Bob for contributing mightily to this fiasco by supporting the POS

At this point tts all about controlling the message and mitigating any bad PR
