Jordan Devey announced starter in SF

So much for tuba practice for now.

A part of me really wants to see Devey have a totally unexpected breakthrough season that ends in a pro bowl. Just to see how all those Felger-esque people that made the Tuba jokes in the first place will backtrack and blame BB for cutting good players.

The 49ers are lucky to have enough players to field a team at all. Forfeit may be less embarrassing than what we will see out of that team this season.

Imagine if they combine Jake Bequette with Vernon Davis

If you have friends in the SF area (e.g. because you work in tech and your contacts happen to be football fans), and they complain, remember this -- the Pats also traded the 49ers the pick that became Joe Staley.

So it's not ALL bad.

I wonder if their fans understand what this means.

Eh. SF is reaping what Harbaugh had sown. Going all in with Kap who just isn't very good, building a culture that fostered bad behavior and lack of discipline. Of course discipline was never Harbaugh's strong suit.

I may just check out the niners forum to see their agony.

Because we already have enough non-athletic blobs at RG.

49'ers will have larger QB issues when Devey's man penetrates leading to injury.

Love to hear what Tom Brady thinks of Devey .... we'll never know but we can guess.
