This means Brady is doomed.

No, it means Goodell is ****ed.

No, no, no, it means they are back talking settlement.

But maybe it means Berman has gone Hollywood.

Or maybe Gisele is divorcing Tom.

or maybe Berman and Gisele are having an affair and he was "busy" this afternoon....

Yup, this is the 2015 offseason in a nutshell ;)

I got a question if Brady gets his suspension overturned do we get our draft picks back?

You'd like to think that the Judge understands that its important for the Pats to know what the results are BEFORE Thursday night's game. Not knowing by game time puts then at an unfair advantage in their preparations with the Steelers. As it is, the entire process has HAD to have taken a toll on this preseason's preparations, at least for the coaches.

Tomorrow Judge Berman - Tomorrow. It's not like the game is on a Sunday - If he waits until the end of the week the team will have LESS than a week to prepare for whatever outcome he decides. I mean, he can officially present his decision any damned time he wants, but he has an obligation of fairness to let the Pats know whether their QB will be available for the opener, by TOMORROW

The season opener is in 9 days. He has to be aware that the longer it takes, the more pressure that is put on Brady and the Pats. This is crap.
At very least generally aware.

Roger Goodell's response:

True. Brady probably plays a half or so if it upholds. Maybe two drives at best if not. Hopefully doesn't play at all.

I think Brady needs 2 drives for his preparation, just as JG needs to play with some of the 1's for a while.

BTW- anyone hear anything about the cut down to 75. The deadline was 4pm

I don't think you are seeing many 1s no matter what Berman's decision is.
I'd tend to agree with us playing in the opener. But BB has done it before.

Well the important thing is that the Pats know before game time. Remember if JG has to start, we have to understand that the Pats offense is going to change. There are plays that JG will get to run that Brady will never see, just as the opposite is true. A JG led offense will be a lot less complex. It will feature more plays where JG moves in the pocket by design, and other wise do a number of things that will keep the offense somewhat in JG's comfort zone

Now I have been very vocal in my belief that Berman WILL rule in Brady's favor, so this all might be pre-decision jitters. But regardless. I'm sure Berman has been apprised of the importance of timing in all this. I'm sure if he needs until the 5th to dot the I's, its OK, but not without sending the Pats some sort of message to let them know what their future is by the end of business on Wednesday.

Why would a federal judge care about the convenience of a sports team ? He is going to issue his order whenever he feels comfortable with its wording. The speed of the entire thing is already pretty impressive and he kept his word to get this done until Sept 4th. That in itself is already remarkable.

Oh
So u wish to have a judge, appointed by a president, 16 years on the bench, leak whatever his verdict is to a football team.
I like the stuff u post Ken. But this one; not so much

Sure, I just don't think this has much to do with whether Stork or Edelman or even Amendola see the field, nor do I think Tom will get much action either way. The big difference is that if the suspension is vacated, you are less likely to witness a triple Lindley. :)

A judge is supposed to champion justice. Berman's questioning of the NFL shows that he realizes that Brady is being railroaded. Putting more pressure on Brady and his team would worsen said injustice. Perhaps he's just making sure that the wording is bulletproof, but I would think a day and a half would be more than sufficient for that. Coming to and publishing a judgement on such a case in a month certainly doesn't qualify as remarkable.

if a tree falls in the woods can we hear the bear ****? :)

seriously, I think the answer is no thanks to our fearful leader
