Ryan Clark - "if Luck was a QB, pats win the SB 5 in a row"

I watched Aaron Rodgers in the NFCCG last season. Brady would have NEVER lost that game, even with a bunch of scrubs around him. Rodgers had Nelson, Cobb, and loads of talent and couldn't drive the ball a few yards when needed to. Had multiple chances to put the game away and could not.

How many playoff games has Tom lost when the other QB throws FOUR picks?

So a guy who can't stop throwing INTs in the playoffs would win 5 straight super bowls in an era where you could actually still hit and intimidate receivers? Ahahahahaha. Ryan Clark must be the source of CTE for Will Smiths new concussion movie.

More like "Dumb and Dumber"

The Luck Comment is just plain wrong.

The Rodgers comment is fair. Rodgers is in his prime and he is up there with the best I have ever seen right now. The clear best? Nope. Arguably? Sure. I have no doubt if not for his injury we would have faced GB.

However between prime Brady and prime Rodgers I like Prime Brady just a hair more. Not speaking as a Patriots fan. Speaking as a football fan.

If someone wants to disagree i won't call them stupid though.

Shoulda gone with Rohan Davey!
Definitely. Davey could have been put in to stop the run! Remember in 2002, Priest Holmes shredding NE in week 3 then Tomlinson doing it in week 4? Totally Brady's fault.

As far as Rodgers/Brady goes I agree that Rodgers RIGHT NOW is playing on his own level. Now when you compare overall careers however, it's Tom by a landslide. Rodgers will be 32 this year and only has one ring and one appearance. To be considered the best of this era you now need 6 appearances and 4 chips. That means he needs to make 5 more trips to the gig and win at least 3!

Also, Rodgers has caught the playoff choke bug from Gomer, better shake that in a hurry. I'd still rather have our #12 when it's ****-to-get time.

Well all these people may be extremely happy, in an alternate universe. Until then, perhaps they should understand Brady and how the Patriots play and then, perhaps, understand why the Pats are winners and the rest are whiners.

Ryan Clark says Luck would win 5 SB in a row if he played with us in 01-05 in First Take.

So, what Clark is actually saying is that Peyton really sucks?

Clark is a moron.

In 02 their defense was terrible. No QB wins with that.

In 05 Brady made some bad decisions vs DEN in the divisional but the two PI calls and the 192 turnovers didnt help

there is no doubt statistically rodgers is better than brady. if that is what bledsoe is talking about i can't really argue with him there.

Brady's teams have scored more ppt than Rogers, Brady's winning % reg season is 77.3, Rogers 68%, playoffs, Brady 21-9, 72.4%, Rogers 6-5, 54.5%.

Rogers is a good QB not in Brady's league, let's not even get into the Luck. Brady is the clear GOAT.

Looks like Drew been sippin' a little too much of his product.

Not meant to bash Drew but there are some things he just never understood about being a quarterback.

I love Tom Brady but some corrections are needed here. First off drew has always been a class act in regards to tom. They are still friends and Drew was one of toms only defenders at the beginning of deflategate. If he says something its not to get attention or cause he is bitter. Next Aaron Rodgers is not better at winning than Tom Brady but statistically the numbers are not even close. Rodgers has almost a 6-1 td to pick ratio. That is insane. And lastly Tom Brady did lose that game ice ice brady it was 2006 afccg against peyton you know the one we were up 21-6 at half. I think Bill is the greatest head coach of all time given his work during the salary cap era and his ability to change his teams identity from week to week to exploit the other teams weaknesses. I also think that tom brady is the great qb of all time. Because of where he came from 199th.. how he elevates his game in big moments, his rings, and his overall play. But all this doesnt change the fact that rodgers has better stats. Peyton had better stats in the regular season for almost all of his career. Who cares. Its doesnt matter one bit. Brady is not the most physically gifted qb of all time..he is the best and its hard to define sometimes with brady. Thats probably why the greatest coach of all time drafted him in the 6th round.

i'm seeing alot of ex-players taking jab at Brady lately. First, Drew Bledsoe said "Aaron Rodgers is playing at a highest level of QBing I've ever seen." last week. He basically is saying Rodgers > Brady.

and today Ryan Clark says Luck would win 5 SB in a row if he played with us in 01-05 in First Take.

can brady ever truly be respected as the GOAT? I don't think it will happen unless Brady wins ring #5.

Yesterday it was Shannon Sharpe.

Today it is Ryan Clark.

Is tomorrow going to be Mark Brunell?

Should we just merge these two threads of yours into a thread called "Well-Known Pats Haters Saying Pats Hating Things"?

My point is that because of his level of play at QB (which was average to sometimes above average) I do not view him as having the credentials to critique elite QB play. Lets be honest....when it came to working hard Drew didn't exactly burn the midnight oil here. Nor was he elite at reading defenses and making great in-game decisions.

Forget about the Super Bowls and playoffs...For him to say that Rodgers operating at his highest level is better than Brady's highest level is an absurd statement to make which goes back to my original point....How the hell would Drew Bledsoe know the difference? The only person qualified on the planet to make that call is Joe Montana.

Like I said.....ridiculous.

If? If Andy Luck had wheels, he'd be a trolley car.

lol! I was just going to post this exact same thing...gotta love Kessler.

I wonder what these Yahoos are going to say when the Colts get their asses handed to them in week 6?

You can list all the potential nexts you wish but Brady will have a trophy none of them will ever be able to attain and that is Roger's head on a stick.

Kessler is that you?

I'm sorry, but are you clinically insane? The 2006 AFCCG, Brady's best WR, Caldwell, could not even make a roster the following season. It was literally one of the worst group of offensive skill players that you will ever see at the professional level. How many points did Tom score? 34!!!! He scored 34 points AND watched bug-eyed Caldwell drop a sure game winning TD; it went right through his hands! The defense collapsed in the second half...

How can you compare Brady's AFCCG in 2006 to Aaron Rodgers last year? The Seahawks turned the ball over, what, 5 times? Gave the Packers the ball several times inside their own 20 for an easy punch in TD. Rodgers threw several picks and then could not convert over and over again on third and short. The Packers defense annihilated the Seahawks for roughly 58 minutes.

Again, absolutely no way Brady loses that game...not EVER. Brady does not lose those types of games where he is gift wrapped the game but throws it away.
