Apparently, the owner of the Houston Texans blames the lack of cooperation with Brady and the Pats for the reason why Deflategate blew out of proportions. That is why it led the nightly news on every network weeks before Ted Wells even started to investigate.

So the obvious follow up question to him should have been, "how did they not cooperate fully?" Was that asked? If so, what was his answer?

BOB, you are doing a solid job, but you might have a hard go at it if your owner gets your organization involved in other teams' business. Focus on your own team, McNair.

Good. Now that he has said it, he can be corrected. It'd be helpful if we knew exactly which other owners need correcting as well.

He's a fool. He's what? 90? I bet he makes zero decisions or has even read the Wells report or any of the subsequent followups. He's just toeing the party line and saying what he's been told to say. Felger and Mazz, Mad Dog, Tanguay, Brunell et al were all howling as loud as they could to everyone they could about cheating well before Teddy boy arrived to save the NFL offices.

It wasn't about non- cooperation until recently when that's all the NFL has left to hang it's collective hats on.

What...a...tool.

I understand owners have better things to do than focus on this mess the way we Pats fans have but come on, that's the easiest low-hanging fruit out there. Just a quick glance at any of a number of items--wells report context, appeal transcripts, transcript from first day with Berman, etc--to see the Pats cooperated fully with Wells and he even agreed that they did.

God these NFL owners can be the absolute worst sometimes.

...and this quack is on the NFL Executive Management Committee and is Chairman of the NFL Finance Committee.

This is what Brady is up against and what is influencing Goodell.

I'm glad this complete a-hole gave us confirmation about what many have expected. The NFL knows Brady did nothing but their egos can't handle that he didn't bend over to them. At that point, they've justified in their own twisted minds that anything goes, including a complete frame job.

I asked Bob McNair if Brady was JJ, would he have been comfortable with his due process? McNair said Watt wouldn't have destroyed his phone

And?!? Brady destroying his phone is the biggest red herring in sports history. Brady had no obligation to give up his phone and had every right to "destroy" it if he wanted. The NFL had no right to his phone or the contents on it. It might have been ill advised not to turn over the text messages that Wells requested, but it was still not a requirement.

The owners don't even have basic facts straight. Wells said he didn't need the phone. No litigation hold put on it

Bob McNair's comments ignore Patriots & Brady objectively gave VAST cooperation. But Wells didn't deem it enough.

McNair doesn't know truth of #Deflategate any more than Kraft knew truth of #Bountygate & #Bullygate. That is why -gates will keep happening

Bob McNair is a reasonable owner Reasonable owners don't read 1000s of pgs of documents They rely on NFL/news reports That are often wrong

31 owners think that Commissioner Scheisskopf's version of the entire mess is the gospel truth.

Along with happiness, money fails to buy intelligence, apparently.

That's not f.ucking true and I'm tired of seeing it parroted around. The NFL ownership isn't some collective hive mind.

No matter how much bad blood there is between owners and the NFLPA, you'd think McNair would give NFLPA president Eric Winston the time of day if he made a phone call, considering he was with the Texans for 6 years. I don't see any reason for that not to happen.
