and I feel like it should have a follow up tweet that says "gotcha *****". Oh wait, it does. It must be real...

Yep, I thought I was people and got played through and through on that one. Twitter amateurism at its finest. Will defer any future news announcements to you vets. :)

So what time should we abandon the wait today. Four thirty? Five?
I don't think it's likely to be upload to Pacer (ECF) after 4:30 or so. However, that's just thinking that the judge will probably head home, and I don't think his clerks will uploaded it once he leaves the courthouse. They could upload the decision at any time, however, after Berman gives the thumbs up. So who really knows...

It's called Pacer. I don't know how to get access to an individual case's docket without putting in a client billing number. That's why I am not on the site constantly refreshing right now lol.

I am and nothing so far. There is a RSS from the court but not sure if will be there at the same time as posted in pacer https://ecf.nysd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/rss_outside.pl

I have never used their feed before

Create your own PACER account (you don't need to be a lawyer). Give them your credit card info if you want instant access.

Then when you log in go to the New York - Southern site from the page that lists all the courts, click on the link that says Query and type in 1:15-cv-05916 as the case number and submit it. Pay attention to "Date of Last Filing" (which currently says 8/31). This query is free.

When/if "Date of Last Filing" changes to 9/1, click on "Reports" in the top navbar, then "Written Opinion Report", and again type in the case number and run the report. That report is also free, as will be the opinion whenever it shows up.

But pretty much everything else you do on PACER costs a minimum of $0.10 (even searches with zero results). Though if you spend less than $15 in a quarter the entire amount is waived.

I bet they post it on the SDNY website:

http://www.nysd.uscourts.gov/

under Rulings of Special Interest (which you can access without a PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) account

I'm a lawyer so I know Pacer pretty well. I just don't feel the need to pay for it myself when it will be available moments later by someone who has already paid for it.

Hard to argue with that!

I'm also used to billing clients for using pacer so I was not completely aware of the protocol for setting up an individual account.

Wish it was like NY State Court which is completely free and accessible.

Pacer is great. It is great to use to see how things are structured. I am looking at the RSS feed from this court which I have never used before but I suspect the Pacer and the RSS are linked. If true, the RSS will at least let you know when something is in. Pacer is .10 a page but once someone has a copy they can share it in any way so don't feel the need to get an account for this. http://www.feedbucket.com/?src=https://ecf.nysd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/rss_outside.pl

bob mcnair ( texan owner ) chimes in...and of course he mentions the destroyed cell phone.

Just more proof that rich people aren't always geniuses. What a moron. But he does have zillions of dollars more than I have.

Which of the mediots swore that he'd be shocked if something wasn't announced today ? Was it Sal ? Prepare to be shocked Sal. Just further proof these mediots just guess.

I'm not expecting anything before 4:30

Berman could have the clerks upload after he is gone, no chance of dealing with obnoxious reporters.
