Ryan Clark - "if Luck was a QB, pats win the SB 5 in a row"

Clark is a troll. He's saying that more to tweak the Patriots than to give credit to Luck. I think there's a rule that as soon as you join the Steelers you are brainwashed into anti-Patriots sentiment.

It's not even a fun discussion. "Let's take this wildly hypothetical situation and I'll make a ridiculous statement about it and we'll argue out whether I'm right." How is that fun? I mean, First Take, but this is weak even for them.

poor clark..just upset that the steelers are trash.
when's the last time they won a playoff game?? lol

i'm seeing alot of ex-players taking jab at Brady lately. First, Drew Bledsoe said "Aaron Rodgers is playing at a highest level of QBing I've ever seen." last week. He basically is saying Rodgers > Brady.

and today Ryan Clark says Luck would win 5 SB in a row if he played with us in 01-05 in First Take.

can brady ever truly be respected as the GOAT? I don't think it will happen unless Brady wins ring #5.
I'm not sure what winning a ring has to do with who is playing the best at the moment. Is Montana today better than Rodgers? I don't think Brady is playing at a higher level than Rodgers.

You're answering statement on current play with a question about the career of a player.

Looks like Drew been sippin' a little too much of his product.

Not meant to bash Drew but there are some things he just never understood about being a quarterback.

there is no doubt statistically rodgers is better than brady. if that is what bledsoe is talking about i can't really argue with him there.

it was not about stats. bledsoe was basically saying Rodgers is the GOAT. he has not seen a QB so talented who can throw and run. nobody has played better than Rodgers. that was his bold statement.

i like rodgers, but i completely disagree with his opinion.

it's sad, but many do believe brady was nothing more than a lucky game manager when we won our 3 SBs. i take great offense to that. hell, it's even more offensive than 'brady cheated!' remarks.

haters just look at the stat sheet and goes '26tds 14ints? 28tds 14 ints? ha! that's a game manager statline'.

no Brady, no SB.

Nice post on Clark, but I take a bit of offense because of your Bledsoe comment. What Bledsoe said is true. No one is playing QB position better than Rogers. He simply can do things that Brady cannot and never could. Things like throwing on the run, throwing deep, and pocket escapability.

Brady is the best QB that his physical limitation will allow. Brady will always be in the argument as the best QB of all time, but we should all recognize that Brady is nearer to the end than the beginning.and there are other QB's out there who are good. Saying one of them might be better than Tom at this point is not blasphemy, its just an legitimate opinion. What Drew said wasn't a crack on Tom, in fact he had no problem defending Tom when the questions arose.

Clark, is an experienced troll, who has done this before and will likely do it again. None of it seems to have helped him and the Steelers win many games vs the Pats.

While a dig at Brady, it is a major compliment to BB. As great as Brady is, I would rather have Luck and BB than Brady and Pagano.

The only things Ryan Clark ever did well was knock out opposing players. Think I'll look elsewhere for informed analysis.

I think Rodgers has better tools than brady (stronger arm, runs faster. etc) but Brady is the more accomplished QB. There is no debate about who has the better resume and that's TB. When you are talking about greatest of all time, are you talking the total package or accomplishments? Your answer could vary.

Rodgers had a season and a half (that half was the second half of the season they won the Super Bowl) of playing out of his mind but he's been back to earth ever since. Also, Rodgers isn't half as clutch as Brady at the end of games or else Green Bay would have been in the Super Bowl 3 years in a row.

We win the Super Bowl from 2001-2005 if Andrew Luck is our QB? There aren't many top QBs in 2015 that wouldn't be ridiculously good in 2001. That's 14 years of sports science and game evolution that nobody else on the field would know about. That said, former players should know better than fans that winning a Super Bowl isn't all about talent.

These statements are stupid.

MEH! .... Who cares.

I don't want to hear any more about the neckbeard until he gets to the gig ONCE. Didn't Clark play for the team with a serial rapist QB???

Luck is the new poster child for ESPN particularly in light of Manzeil so far not living up to expectations so I'm not bothered or surprised at that comment.

I thought the meme was that the Pats would be a .500 team without Brady? Now they'd win 5 SBs with someone else? I think these guys have spent too much time in a hurry up offense; they need to huddle up and get their stories straight.

Could you imagine the ESPN Jizzfest that would happen if they had a Luck/Rodgers SB? That opportunity was on the table last season but thankfully didn't happen.

Great observation.
The envious have thrown reason to the winds while spewing nonsense in their frustration.

Luck has talent. Rogers has more talent. Aaron can do stuff Tom cannot.
HOWEVER neither one of them can do what Tom HAS DONE time and again under fire and behind in the playoffs against top ranked defenses. Time & again.
WTF? Do they not watch the games???
