Jets tight end Jace Amaro isn't going to have the chance to assuage the concerns of Jets fans who might think the team used their second-round pick a year ago on a bust. At least, not in 2015. On Tuesday, the Jets placed Amaro on season-ending injured reserve.

Back when Amaro hurt his shoulder during the Jets' first preseason game, it wasn't thought to be anything serious. Just last week, Amaro said that "every day it's been getting better." But according to Jets senior reporter and team insider, Eric Allen, Amaro tore his labrum. He will have surgery to repair the injury.

Jets' Sheldon Richardson pleads not guilty to high-speed race charges

Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson pleaded not guilty to resisting arrest and other traffic-related charges on Monday. According to The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, which cites Richardson's attorney, Richardson will appear in court on Oct. 5.

As NJ.com points out, Oct. 5 is the same day that Richardson can make his return to the Jets. Richardson is currently suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league's substances of abuse policy, something that is completely unrelated to the car incident from this summer.

Jet season going right along according to form: one guy blows out his shoulder, another guy rolls from a drug suspension right into one based on racing at 143 MPH in a car reeking of booze and pot with a 12 year kid as a passenger.

Dopey or dumb looking is in the eye of the beholder, its subjective. No one needs any reason other than what they think.

(It wasn't me calling Geno "dopey", by the way -- though I think that everything we've heard about why he got socked in the jaw shows he's not Einstein. And I've no idea about Bowles -- just that he will have to go a long way to be as ugly as his predecessor.)
