Official 9/1 Decision Day? News Updates and Links Thread

Really don't know how he could be so sure, not even Berman was sure that it would be today.

I'm sure that there are draft opinions floating around to be finalized. Since the entire world is waiting with bated breath for the decision to come out, I'm sure they want the final product to be rock solid in every regard.

I just don't see how he could not vacate it. Everything has gone our way since it has come to a real court. Why would he beat the **** of the NFL and then uphold it despite there be numerous CBA violations that outweigh 46 and already has a precedent for such a ruling? I'd be more shocked than the second time LeBron left if he upholds this.

My read is Berman telegraphed to the NFL that he was going to overturn but gave them an out by getting Brady to accept a fine. The NFL decided it would be better to let the court rule against them and take their chances on appeal than to look "weak" by settling.

I could be wrong, of course, but that's my best guess.

My guess is he wants a settlement just to put an end to it for good not to help anybody out. But hey, I've taken one law course in school I don't know ****.

There are only 2 things we ever needed to worry about when it comes to Brady:

1) That he actually cheated.
2) That he'd admit guilt when he hadn't cheated.

I don't know why people would be 'depressed'. If Brady is suspended for 4 games then just treat it like an injury - he got hit with Goodell's stupidity.

Already noon. Dont know if it will come today.

That's simply Berman showing deferance to Herr Komissioner. The Kommissioner sleeps until around noon, has the pool boy bring him breakfast in bed and his needs addressed. His attendants then bathe him and bring him his clothes for the day, which are burned every evening, and then he is carried down to his den where he puts in his daily 15 minutes of work. Once accomplished he retires to his home theatre where he spends the rest of the day watching reruns of Hogans Heroes, which he has modeled the league office on, and gay porn. Judge Berman needs to try and find that 15 minute sweet spot or put the ruling of for another day.

This is personal now. Goodell is definitely appealing if this gets vacated

Lmao, that's the first time I have ever had a disagree for a question.

Stupid people disagree with stuff that can't be disagreed upon....and they're so stupid, they don't even realize it.

Media whore Berman is going to milk the decision to the last drop.:p

My WAG is that the decision does not come today -- Berman is essentially giving the sides this last day to try to settle.

Simmons's prediction:

My Deflategate prediction: Brady gets off, NFL vows appeal, Goodell slowly distances himself (makes Pash/Vincent fall guys), appeal dropped.

PS: Goodell's out is "I wouldn't have handled this so poorly if the people underneath me didn't fail me." Easily leakable to media cronies.
Dangerous game for Goodell to play. The underlings can leak too.

I really hope this happens and they all turn on one another. Would be glorious.

The ruling will be in favor of Brady. You guys don't even have to follow the developments today because I guarantee it.

You're welcome.
Thank you. I can go back to work now.
