Brady v. NFL Court Hearing Thread (8/31) - Live Update and Tweets

You're taking my "initial post" way too literal in order to fit your argumentative agenda. I could care less what the initial view "people" had. Some "people" originally thought it was a joke, which in reality it was/is, and that it would be put to bed early. Until the Wells Report came out, several "people" thought this was a tiny blip that would pass over quickly. The tide turned in Brady's favor pretty quickly, then the Wells' sham report squashed that promptly.

The fact of the matter is, there was HUNDREDS of tweets/articels that made us fans think this would be over quick: one prominent one was Sharks of Vegas, along with certain tweets from many different journalists such as Schefter who once predicted this would end in Brady's favor early on, etc, etc, etc. Heck, go back to the Super Bowl broadcast, where Michaels and Collinsworth

I'm not going to find all those instances that got us fans here excited early so you can have your own private party...

Stop splitting hairs and move on.

You made a false claim. You keep doubling down on it, when it's simply not true. That's on you for spreading falsehoods: I simply want to keep things accurate on the Brady subject, because there are so many people, such as yourself, still making false claims. You said the conversation had run its course. On that, we agree. We're done here.

Players pay fines ALL THE TIME that do not concede guilt. It's BEYOND STUPID to require this as part of settlement.

2) Brady's told those handling the case, he won't sign anything he sees as untruthful ... Re: acceptance of guilt/Wells Report.

All NFL reporters with different reports. Everyone seem to have access to 'brady's thinking'

As I said a post above, all I said was that there was hundreds of tweets and articles that got us excited that this situation would be resolved in Brady's favor.

That's about as truthful as truth can get, especially if you've spent some time on this board in 2015.

How you consider that "false" is beyond logical thinking... For some odd reason, you want to argue against my comment, which is so astronomically dumb that it blows my mind.....

(1) hard to believe everything (anything) NFL media is throwing out there (2) glad it's time for the judge to decide as I have little interest in a negotiated settlements in this case.

Again, we're done here. You made a false claim. I pointed that out. Time to move on.

Nothing I said was "false". In fact, the irony here, is that you're the only one in this conversation making "false claims".

I'm done here. I'm losing brain cells talking to you...

The information in the article is common knowledge

So is your post that I quoted above. Does that make it worthless, and a waste of the attention of the people reading it?

You made a false claim.

Actually, he made a true factual claim; you just think that the inferences he tried to draw from it were baseless. And you're correct in that opinion.

It's simply not the way things went. People didn't even really start to turn until after some of us began to shred the Wells report.

You guys are arguing over whether lots of people were saying "X" or "not-X". In fact, both X and not-X had lots of advocates.

Technically, his phrasing allowed for that while yours didn't.

I sent him a PM in order to end this in the thread. I'll leave it at that.

Bring up the Jamie Collins pick

I got a bad feeling about this. My gut feeling is that if the Judge really thought Brady was being railroaded and was 100% innocent, he would not push for a settlement. Because of that, I think he will rule in favor of the NFL and give Goodell absolute power. I also think that Brady should retire and say fck you to the NFL and Kraft and go live his life with his hot ass wife.

As far as I can tell, pushing for an appeal is done for several reasons, none of which have anything to do with what Berman things of Brady.

1) It crosses a few Ts in the event of an appeal
2) It allows the parties to settle their own differences.
3) It saves Berman from having to render a decision
4) It negates an appeal, savings loads of time, money as well as the chance of Berman's decision being overturned.

That's about it. Nothing about settlement indicates leaning in either direction, but his comments certainly do. IMO, anyway :)

The key words are that he was supposedly willing to accept 1 game for "not cooperating" . But even that in itself is ridiculous to accept a suspension for. Plus, didn't Wells himself commend Brady for his cooperation?

Yeah, this report was refuted by multiple people close to Brady over a week ago. It's just the latest NFL contribution to the smear campaign.

Haha pretty sure he blocked/put me on ignore anyway. But you would think someone demanding you correct the record so furiously over something trivial would at least have the integrity to admit when he was so very wrong. But what do I know

DID I MISS DRAMA?

yep...you missed even more than that...you missed the dreaded...

drummer drama
Fits of emotional outbursts displayed by percussionists.
