Bring back Kenbrell!

...Dobson is more talented and has more upside despite his struggles. He might not make the 53 but he is certainly a better option than KT with all due respect to the guy.

Chad Jackson also had a ton of talent and more upside. He was a massive bust, but people forget he was the #1 WR on a lot of boards that spring.

It's probably too early to give up on Dobson, but at the same time, upside and potential don't always develop. At some point, you are what you are. This is probably Dobson's last chance in New England.

But if KT is free, why not bring him in? Knows the system, has some chemistry with Brady, looking more and more likely that Lafell won't be there for the start of the season, Dobson has a long track record of injury, Wayne is still adjusting and getting into game shape, Jules has been hurt...it makes a ton of sense to pick up the phone.

He's not good. He looked horrible in preseason with the Raiders. Horrible.

I was going to post something similar. He has indeed not looked good during the pre-season. Still...if he could stop doing the Brandon Lloyd Flop every time he caught a pass, he could be worth a look-see.

Now if the Faiders waive Andre Holmes, I'd be all over that.

Dobson hasn't proven to be much better than anyone. But he does have a lot of potential. KT has done a bit more.

People say this but by rookie WR standards in any season but the last Dobson had a very good first year, 37 catches and 4 TDs in only 12 games. His problem has been injuries, not an inability to produce or show his talent when he's actually been on the field.

Kenbrell has done nothing with the raiders.

I like Thompkins...but would rather see Harper on the 53 if I could choose.

The numbers do not support your assertion.

KT's 27 years old and hasn't done anything since he left the team. I think that ship has sailed.

No thanks. He body-caught and double-caught everything when he was here. There's no place on an NFL roster for a receiver with such poor catching mechanics unless he has some serious upside in the size/speed departments. Kenbrell does not. I wish the kid well, but not in a Pats uniform.

Patriots already had him on the roster and waived him in Oct last year. They had plenty of time to evaluate his talent and they didn't think it was worth it to keep him around then. Raiders picked him up on waivers and now don't think he is worth it to keep another year. Belichick might pick him up if there are injury concerns with the wide receivers we have now but that's only because he already knows the system.

Simple. He can't play.

I'm not the highest on Dobson, but I'd rather Dobson have a spot than him. They're both equally unproven/unpolished, but Dobson's had more time in the system and is bigger and a a better athlete
Can Dobson stay healthy?
