Don't be such an idiot. Think it is fun having to fight a court battle? It is not and takes a toll on your personal life, marriage, kids, family etc...
She's a fiery Brazilian and you know she has to be pissed. I'll bet you she and Tom Sr. call each other and b*tch about the NFL every week 'cause Tommy has them on a media leash and they can't do it publicly I can't wait until we can hear directly from them. :D

The Globe sees where this may be going and is already beginning to whine, polishing up the ol' class warfare schtick.

Tom Brady has the rare ability to take his boss to court when he thinks he’s being punished unfairly http://bos.gl/wAdGM6c #Deflategate
It is ridiculous to compare this to everyday Americans. Brady's employer, the New England Patriots, wants him to play and wants to pay him. The problem is that an oversight organization, the League does not want that to happen during the first 4 weeks of the season.

The Patriots could actually "fire" (i.e. cut) Brady anytime they want to - not that any of us anticipate such a thing is even remotely plausible.

I was stating my one fear. I'm a lawyer and the Judge most likely has already written most of the decision. It just needs to be ironed out.

Agreed.

IMO, only reason he is taking one or a few more days is to ensure his decision has the best chance of surviving appeal. No judge likes being overruled.

The NFL cannot remediate the failure to provide notice.

If Berman vacates the rule by incorporating that, wouldn't it ALL have to go away?
re-arbitration would go away as an option.

The NFL could still appeal to the 2nd circuit Berman's decision for failure to provide notice. That seems like a hard appeal to win, though, when Wells flat-out said that he did not inform Brady of possible punishments for not sharing phone info. So I hope that this is ONE of the components of Berman's ruling, for sure.

Here are takeaways from today. First, a bit unusual for the Judge making the decision to engage in settlement discussions and not Magistrate

Second, asking counsel if they wanted to add anything for the record tells me the Judge has his decision and thinks an appeal is likely.

Both sides, but certainly Brady's, believe whatever Judge Berman decides will be affirmed on appeal.

Because of that, if Brady losses, which I doubt, an appeal carries the great risk of having to sit out four games at the end of the season,

Only the NFL is certain to appeal. So the Judge's comments, if anything, suggest a Brady win.

Not sure how Alan Milstein says judge's comments about adding anything to the record suggest a brady win but I will defer to his knowledge.

Milstein's tweets are the type of things we've been fed consistently since February....

Unfortunately for us, the actual results have always been the opposite.

Hard to get excited for the ruling tomorrow/Wednesday, but I'm trying to keep the faith.

When will Dikembe notify us of the decision? Everything else is pocket pool

Yeah, I didn't quite get that one

Where are these consistent tweets you speak of? I remember things quite differently.

It seems to me his logic is that Berman believes NFL will appeal if they lose but Brady won't appeal if he loses. Therefore, get it all on record right now folks, because it's going to eventually be submitted to the next highest level court.

This was a stupid article with little to no information that did not add one iota of intelligence to any type of conversation.

Is Shank the CHB running a school for terrible columnists now?

Yeah, I didn't quite get that one

I took Milstein's reasoning to be:
  1. He (Berman) asked the lawyers if there were any last things they wanted on the record because he knows his decision will be appealed. (If something isn't on the record, the appellate court won't look at it and this is the last chance to get something on the record).
  2. If Brady loses he won't appeal because (a) it's a super longshot and (b) could result in him serving his suspension towards the end of the season (if Berman gives a stay pending appeal and CA2 decides to vacate the stay).
  3. Therefore, Berman's going to decide for Brady. If Berman knows his decision will be appealed and he knows or strongly feels Brady won't be appealing then the fact that he expects an appeal means he must be ruling for Brady since only the NFL would be appealing a loss.
Not saying I agree with that, but that's what I think he was getting at.

Brady won't appeal if he loses? That doesn't seem right to me. Does anyone else share this view?

I don't think Brady appeals. Berman seems to be leaning heavily in the PA's favour and if HE goes NFL, an appeal would be difficult to win. I think the NFL will appeal.

In what way?

We've been told by numerous "insiders" and "journalists" in tweets and column tidbits for months that the Wells Report would exonerate Brady, to Brady only getting a one game suspension, to the suspension being removed and Brady only getting a fine, and so on and so forth for months upon months....and everytime we got our hopes up, we were on the opposite end of the result we craved.
