NFL never made formal settlement offer, but indicated willing to cut suspension to 3 games if Brady admitted DeflateGate guilt. No deal.

Brady refused to sign document admitting he did something he's adamant he didn't do. He was willing to take a fine for not cooperating.

3 games for admitting guilt and risk perjuring yourself? Are you kidding me?!

Wow. Actually that's good news. I was worried that if they offered Brady one game that he would take another PR hit for not accepting "a reasonable" offer. Thankfully this still makes the NFL look like a bunch of unreasonable pieces of Morts.

"Instead of giving you a bat-**** ludicrous penalty that far exceeds anything we've ever given for a situation like this, we're willing to only give you a mind-numbingly stupid penalty, and all you have to do is tell the nation you're a dirty, rotten, cheating cheater with a small penis. ARTICLE 46 *****ES!"

If this is right and the judge then thanked the NFL for "both sides willingness" to discuss a settlement(as reports suggest)???
Was he thanking the NFL for: "Yeah your honor, we still insist he burns at the stake until dead but, to be cooperative, we'll skip the follow up cutting off of his head"

No matter who wins and who loses in this court, the loser will be appealing and it will go on for several more months.

And THAT is very good news for Tom Brady

Why? because in December THIS movie hit screens all across America. Any "PR War" with the NFL that we are worried about now............. well, let's just say we won't be so worried in a few months:

Pay particular attention to the parts where the NFL tries to discredit and intimidate Dr. Omalu.

NOTE: He got one more win. It was a Super Bowl. And the MVP.

I think he may have been thanking them for giving him the cover to make an activist judgement. If any other court questions his 'going too far', he now has the rational that he gave the NFL every way out to act like mature adults and they refused every opportunity.

The NFL does not deserve Brady man...they just don't. He has made a lot of people a lot of money and he did it the right way...the same people that he made money for he is getting screwed by.

The NFL league office and those that run it are a pathetic excuse of an organization. They don't deserve TFB. If there was a comparable league, a viable option, he could/would go to then they this crap would not ever have gotten this far.

One game IS a slap in the face to their biggest cash cow (speaking their language).

Waking up and looking at their jealous self in the mirror every morning must make them feel very proud...

After weeks of negotiations and repeated encouragements by the judge to settle, the best the NFL could offer was a one game reduction? That's hard to believe.

What was their offer when talks began? Adding an additional game suspension? Brady wearing a scarlet letter on his jersey?

Fair enough -- the judge was keeping up decorum and appearances.

Hope I'm wrong, but honestly it concerns me that NFL could be confident enough to give Brady such a **** offer. I know they're deluded but its really stretching credulity for them to be this obtuse.

The NFL and Goodell are complete idiots. Take a 3 game suspension for something that even The Wells report proved he didn't do.

The Wells Report declared the Patriots footballs were “at or near” 12.5 PSI before the game (page 111). The Wells Report states that “the Ideal Gas Law” predicts that the Patriots balls should have measured between 11.52 and 11.32 psi at the end of the first half.”

One official, measuring the 11 footballs, found the average at halftime was 11.49. The other official, with a different gauge, had them at an average of 11.11.

On one of the gauges, the balls were, on average, easily within the range THAT THE WELLS REPORT SAID THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Eight of the 11 balls were not underinflated at all, never mind significantly.

On the other gauge, the average was two-tenths less than what the Wells Report expert, Exponent said they should be. Three of the balls weren’t underinflated at all.

So why in hells name should Brady be punished at all?
