OT - Ordway to join Merloni and Fauria on the WEEI mid-day show

Just heard it on the radio.

Who is Ordway again?

Could be a lot worse.

This is like hiring Norv Turner and expecting to do better than 8-8 in any given season. Ordway is the epitome of a retread. The guy knows gossip, but he doesn't know sports.

Is this permanent? If so, a pretty strange turn of events for Ordway, who used to be king of the hill in the prime drive slot.

Yea, I didn't mind just Lou and Fauria... Ordway brings nothing... He's not funny, informed or objective. Just another loudmouth who thinks way too highly of himself.

As long as. It isn't Tanguay.

Brady and Belichick weekly interviews during football season?

I like Ordway. He is knowlegeable enough, actually likes Boston teams, and will prevent Merloni and Fauria from becoming too silly like they sometimes do. It should be a pretty good show.

As long as he isn't given the authority to turn the midday show into that horrific frat-house Smerlas, DeOssie, Bill Burt **** show he'll be fine.

Besides...no Tanguay is a victory for mankind.

I'm OK with Ordway but that's because they spent the last month with the possibility of Tanguay getting it, which would mean never listening again.

I actually liked Danny Picard on that show last week.

Tanguay is a tool and Ordway is overbearing.

Should have brought the kid in. It was a lively, high energy listen. Not sure if it was sustainable, but I loved the Southie flavah.
