I see. One Brady fault, several NFL faults, and I’m giving NFL too much credit.

@SI_PeterKing I think the best info suggests Brady & his lawyer had no idea that phone content was essential to a non-Favre pix kinda case.

I know that. But what possible benefit was it to Brady’s side to pick the time he picked to have phone destroyed?

@SI_PeterKing She means Wells telling Brady he didn't want the phone, then using it as their case against him.

This phone crap is the storyline how this whole crap is going to be written.

Peter King is a moron. Always has been, always will be. No need to post what a moron thinks, neither when he's accidentally right or when he's in his natural state. Even more so if it is the latter.

If nothing else, Peter King is a great barometer for gauging an idiot's opinion on things. He's a genuinely stupid man who believes stupid things for stupid reasons. As is common with stupid people, he gets angry and lashes out when his idiotic beliefs are held to any kind of scrutiny (seen here).

Unfortunately, a lot of other stupid people read the crap that he writes and take it seriously. So whatever stupid opinion he's peddling today will soon be adopted by an awful lot of idiots.

Peter King has faith in the NFL spending a year collecting PSI data and then if they realize that the science supports the fact the Pats did not deflate balls and then the NFL would report the real numbers and admit after wasting seven months and millions of dollars that they would admit they were wrong.

I am confident that one or two things will happen with the PSI collection. Either the League will doctor or manipulate the study and/or final report or they will bury the results. We will never see a study that will show that the ideal gas law could explain the loss of air pressure in the Patriots' balls.

Yet, King wants to do this study before punishing the Patriots. Might as well give them the punishment now because they will never release a report that exonerates the Patriots.

Don't read what this man writes:

You're better off.

The Patriots don't need to wait for the NFL to release results they can simply do it in live time after every game. They can take possession of the game balls at game end and have an independent lab measure and record them on camera. In fact all the high schools and colleges in NE can do it as well. It will be really tough for the NFL to lie about results when everyone else is coming up with the real ones.

This is the time where all the mediots start running for the "fence". Just look at today. Volin takes a step toward Brady's side when he posted he "liked Brady's chances", while at the same time Curran takes a step AWAY from Brady's side when he comments on Brady only having a 50-50 chance of winning. All our knights of the keyboard are cynically running to hedge their bets. Few of them have the balls to stick by their position. CYA at its worst.

Destroying the phone does look bad.

There are other ways to deal with old phone without going Hernandez until this thing blows over.

Lawyers can make Mother Theresa out to be a liar. Dont give them ammo.

Meanwhile, on the front page of the Daily Mail, the world's most read tabloid, is a story analyzing whether Brady's wife had breast enhancement surgery with pictures of her totally covered up and running errands. Why is it Brady did not want to hand his personal phone over to a league that leaks like a sieve and why he gets rid of his phone on a regular basis? Peter King is an idiot to not understand this.

How significant is significant? Is it 9/10ths significant or 2/10ths significant?

Wells didn't want the phone. Brady takes that as gospel and destroys the phone.

They gave the NFL 10,000 texts and call records from the time in question.

They ask about the phone.

They use it against him to make him look like hes hiding something.

King is once again brainwashed by the NFL narrative.

King does not read or his ability to absorb information and use it to rationalize the formation of an opinion is that of a 1st grader.

Good god.

Yeah but, what kind of coffee did Peter drink this morning? That's what football fans really want to know.

The timing of replacing the phone is not suspicious. He wants to replace his phone which he does every several months. He's being investigated so he holds onto it until his lawyer says he's not handing it over and the investigator says he does not want it. So, at that point he replaces it. Perfectly logical.

don yee was the one who told him it was ok to destroy the phone. it was an idiotic piece of advice.

Yes, but didn't they ask Wells before destroying it if he wants it? And Brady provided all the requested information from that phone at the appeal hearing, correct? But the NFL throws its red herring out, "Brady destroyed his phone!!! Cover up!!!" to stop the masses from picking up on that info.

A good investigator or neutral arbitrator after having conducted and reviewed the $5million wells report would know that Brady's phone is no longer needed. A mentally competent having read the report would also come to this conclusion. Curran's latest article about psi should be the final piece to push people over from the dark side. If he gets the opportunity to speak about this on national TV or radio, then we would really strike a blow at the league. We should petition one of the major networks to break this story open and maybe get to hear what the Dorito dinks have to say too. That would really damage the nfl.

The whole issue on the phone really pisses me off. Brady complies by providing the texts/info wells asked for, above and beyond really. Then once the NFL* realized their science was highly flawed they shift focus to the phone. It's so obvious they were grasping at straws yet the idiot public eats it up like the phone is the smoking gun showing Brady's guilt. Such garbage.

exactly. thats my biggest complaint. The NFL makes it look like Brady "destroyed" his phone to cover up evidence or whatnot and the common public buys it and is anti-Brady and anti-Pats. They don't realize he was interviewed for hours upon hours right after the incident and provided phone records, emails etc. People are still going on about the pool cover thing and trying to tie that into all of it. The common public is stupid and doesn't pay close attention. Yet, none of them think its suspicious that Ray Lewis' suit is nowhere to be found after his ordeal.
