Hopefully Berman has a Harvard-educated lawyer to provide the necessary edits and wordsmithing before issuing his ruling.
Parsh is available. It was never required for the ruling to be independent so it's s'all good man.

lol ESPN just hustled Portnoy from behind Sal Pal reporting live then some guy comes with a free brady shirt and 2 guys try to nudge him off camera as they walk by then another guy tries to ask him to leave out of shot.

ANd hopefully Pash doesn't get to edit it.
thats the joke m8

BTW - You know you are a Brady Homer when you hear no settlement was reached. You care more about his legacy than a few games.

Well, surprise, surprise:

Ben Volin@BenVolin
Gut feeling: Brady wins this one. But the losing side will almost certainly appeal, dragging this on for months/years

Screw this googlemeister. Where is he? In his bedroom scouring everyone else's tweets? Scanning Patsfans for an opinion? Useless tweet.

Talked to a lawyer friend. He said it is standard in the federal courts for the decision to just pop in on PACER when the judge decides to submit it and a clerk has a free minute to send it in. So it could literally happen at any time with no warning.

In other words, don't be waiting for the lawyers to be called into the courtroom for the decision or any movie-like thing like that.

That said, my friend said that because of the level of interest by the media in the case the media might be notified a while ahead of time about when the decision will be submitted so that the media stops bugging the courthouse about it every five minutes.

Honestly though, he's probably not wrong....don't really see the issue with it. Aside from the fact that people are still posting Volin garbage on here.

Mike Greenberg explains his tweet on his Facebook page:

Reasonableness.

Especially around the time of major elections, I often feel it is the hardest thing to find. People who behave reasonably, who make reasonable decisions, often feel few and far between.

Reasonableness is my explanation for why I'm rooting for Tom Brady's suspension to be overturned by this judge in New York. Not because I think Brady is fully innocent. My sense is - as Ted Wells said - something probably happened and Brady may have been aware of it. I also think he could have been more cooperative in the investigation and, just generally, could have handled all this better from the beginning.

My problem is the reaction. From the outset, the reaction of the league toward Brady's (unproven) crimes has been completely out of proportion to whatever they may actually have been. Had they fined him a hefty sum and written a stem letter, I think they would have more than made their point. This insistence on accepting the findings of the Wells report - when Wells himself acknowledges he doesn't really know what the heck happened - is ridiculous. As are too many of the other things I have heard come from the league side of this dispute.

Look, I'm a Jet fan. I have been all my life. I don't think I have ever rooted for Tom Brady to win a single game in which he's played. But I'm rooting for him now. I think it would be unreasonable to feel otherwise.

That's a remarkable take from someone who works for ESPN and is a Jets fan.

Are they going to have Judge Berman announce the decision LeBron James style?

LOL. Berman opens up with the presser, "I'm taking my talents to 345 Park Ave to open up a can of whoop-ass on Goodell and that pathetic band of lackey hacks that work for him.".

ESPN is playing a dangerous game now that their guys are criticizing the NFL. Going to be a bad MNF schedule next year. Unless they can get Goody Goodell out of office.

Anyone really think the NFL would appeal? Im not sure the owners want anymore of this.

Anyone with sense would look within the organization of the NFL and say, our current system is broke, and send these disciplinary appeals to an independant arbitrator. i deal with a labor union and have gone to many arbitrations, win some lose some, but at least its somewhat independant.

I mean, he doesnt HAVE to appoint himself. Just because you can, doesnt mean you should.

Curran on WEEI: says Brady was a lot more upbeat in the courtroom today after they left the robing room (did not have the scowl he had in previous meetings).

hmm...interesting.

very interesting...

So you think that Tom Brady's wife is creating marital problems because he isn't acting like the man she married, and quitting?
What's next, she thinks he is guilty and wants him to admit it?
Don't be such an idiot. Think it is fun having to fight a court battle? It is not and takes a toll on your personal life, marriage, kids, family etc...

We can only hope so....it seemed like the NFL liked the controversy for the longest time but I guess now that their the ones looking bad they might want to end it.

More probably than not the marriage thing was made up. 99.99% of the insider takes on Brady are made up. Like Brady calling Branch and what not and Silver claiming there was a disconnect.

I'm being an idiot and you think Tom Brady's wife is going to leave him because he got railroaded for something he didn't do and fought for his rights.

FWIW, the paper in question was claiming that Giselle was PO'd that Brady allegedly for months has been spending very little time with the family and has been in a really bad mood most of the time.

My guess is they know that Goodell will be out.
