“You know something’s up when guys like Tom Brady and Kurt Warner (wahhh) and Peyton Manning are wearing gloves to throw a football,” former NFL quarterback and 2002 league MVP Rich Gannon told Farmer. “You’re starting to go, ‘Wait a second here. . . .’ Guys for years dreaded bad weather, cold weather, and they didn’t want to have anything that would take their hands off the football. Now guys are like, ‘These gloves are better than the human skin.'”

Whatever the top QB's are doing will be closely scrutinized in the future ...

need to have 32 equal teams ya' know. Otherwise known as integrity of the owner's egos.

My first reaction to this nonsense is, the league is trying to pretend it suddenly cares about all this integrity and trying to give some validity to deflategate. You're not fooling anyone NFL. Secondly, if people want to do something that gives them an advantage that's available to everyone and doesn't have adverse effects like steroids, who cares?

It's not illegal. Who gives a chit. I have my own methods for my games. I wear a new pair of gloves every 2 games, I spit on them before every single play, I wear eye black for night games, and I wear the same shirt under my pads every game.

Haven't been suspended yet. At some point, people will realize that this stuff is just personal preference. Who even knew that there were rules for air in the ball? I personally think there shouldn't be.

Players can and should do what they want to get comfortable for their game.

Why stop with gloves? Lets ban the use pads, braces, helmets, and towels because they detract from the true spirit of football circa 1910 where people fuc.king died.
Anything Brady uses will be scrutinized ... even say a Maytag washer ... league sanctioned LG washers only.

Brady occasionally wears a glove on his non-throwing hand in bad weather.

Crucify him!!!!
Mort says 11/12 teams will think the glove is there to throw lefty ... league will sanction 1 arm only.

League is hypocritical. Destroys Patriots organization for "probably tampering with PSI" which "makes it easier to catch", but then they allow these gloves which are like magnets for footballs...

It's not a thing until a Patriot does it. I think the only fair way to judge this is to get a crate of the gloves foe Dobson!

The first thing I thought of when I read this was does Odell Beckham Jr. make that catch from last year without those gloves? Probably not.

You and me both, and the question is does the NFL want these types of catches, or not? It would be hypocritical for all the roughing the passer rules, defenseless receiver rules, the rules they created for roughing the receivers off the line for the 2004 colts, and all the pro-offense changes they've made the last 2 decades to now to suddenly ban gloves.

Ravens at Patriots (Saturday, 4:35 p.m. ET, NBC): Clear skies, kickoff temperature of 26 with a wind-chill of 7, winds 10-20 mph, zero percent chance of precipitation.

Colts at Broncos (Sunday, 4:35 p.m. ET, CBS): Partly cloudy, kickoff temperature of 40, winds 4 mph, 20 percent chance of precipitation.

So you got Brady in weather that felt like it was in the closer to 0 degrees than 50 with no glove on his throwing hand and you got Manning with no wind in weather that was near 50 degrees with a glove on.

That's why they're starting this 5h!t. Parity! "We aren't just picking on the Pats, everyone must follow King Dung GoodHell" . What an F' ing crock this is becoming. It really is the beginning of the end folks.

I just can't take it anymore.

I am so sick of people looking for something to ***** about.

The fan wants to see QBs be able to hold onto the ball and make plays. Watching a QB barely able to hold the ball isnt in the best interest of football.
