Now that Develin is done for the season, who will be the team's fullback?

6-8 weeks? If that were the case why not PUP?

Cleveland could act as fullback/H-back

IMHO, if it really 6-8 weeks, it will be PUP - DTR. This is a no brainer. If someone else is injured, we'll simply carry him on the 53. The issue is whether Develin could really be expected to be able to be playing NFL football in 6-8 weeks. Many think that this is extremely optimistic.

The report sure shocked me!

Keep the Ivy League quota replacing the guy from Brown with a Yalie...

Forget it. Varga is small (220 lbs) for a fullback. and is the exact same size as Bolden. Bolden knows the system, is an experienced vet and an excellent (and devastating) blocker.

Has Cleveland ever played fullback?

After all, we already have Hooman.

He was who they used last night after the injury.

Because players who have participated in a training camp practice or played in a preseason game are ineligible for PUP.View them?

Perhaps the league should all agree to use the safest turf as possible, whatever that may be.

Devlin out, Bequtte on IR....... Ho-man having too large of a salary. Ive never felt a better time to Give Colt Lyerla one last shot. I just can't get over the thought of a red zone offense with both Gronk & Chandler at TE and Lyerla playing H back/fullback, as he often did at Oregon. Talk about defensive mismatch nightmares!!! It might be physically impossible to match up with. IDK, as long as he's a FA (don't care if he's playing rugby) I will always dream about him being on the team and the crazy **** we could do with his skill sets. I just think its crazy people consider giving the wife beater a second chance in this league, but won't consider a player who got caught doing coke IN COLLEGE. Talk about double standards!

Everyone should rest easy knowing that the Pats would never sign Irsay-- er, Lyerla.

I can guarantee you, at least 20% of the members on this site have tried coke in their lifetime. Honestly I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it were closer to 30-40%. Is it really that surprising that a kid got caught doing coke in COLLEGE?? Now if you're also referring to his DUI.... Well for one, the case was dismissed, and 2, it was 7 days after tearing his MCL. Yes, maybe it wasn't the best decision operate a vehicle after taking (almost certainly) prescribed painkillers. Does that make him an addict? The truth of the matter is, the kid need's one thing, an environment like the Patriots. It really annoys me that so many people have the same level of hate for this kid, as they do for ppl like ray rice.

At just under 6'2" and 310 pounds, Mason doesn't have ideal physical traits you look for in a lineman. This has forced him to win with leverage and strength. That's slightly easier for the short guard, but it's a great trait regardless. He's a fantastic drive blocker that stays low and pushes his man forward, opening up big holes. Take a look at this goal line play that resulted in a touchdown - the runner stayed right behind Mason (70)

I'm sure 11 TD and a 1000 yards and a TD is 2016 Super Bowl would easily make New Englanders forget about those comments years ago. lol
Ugh, no. It wasn't "years ago" as the massacre was Dec 2012 and there is no way a NY team or the New England Patriots are signing him based on their proximity to Newtown, CT. Maybe he could sign with a team in the Midwest or California.....In addition, his history, namely the cocaine arrest and the franchise's history with the murderer also preclude his signing....They want to avoid any more controversy.......

Its been almost 3 years since he made that post. Only super Die Hard football fans will know about those comments. He was 19 and probably watched one of those very convincing youtube conspiracy videos, and without thinking tweeted about it. **** like that can be forgotten, even with a sensitive subject like Sandy hook.

Now I agree with you in some aspect with your reason NE hasn't signed him, however its not because the team isn't willing to take any risk at all (i.e.. Blount). Its because his very similar comparison to AH. Same position, very similar skill set (better in my opinion) If theres one thing I truly hate about the whole AH fiasco, it what its done to our teams willingness to take risk on players.
