Almost every year there is a WTF move near cutdowns. Cutting Meriweather/Sanders comes to mind.

Last year between the third and fourth preseason games, BB traded Mankins to the Bucs.

I can't really see one. If BB was comfortable with Bolden and Lewis backing up Gray, I could envision Blount, but we would have no power RB depth. Wendell would be a crazy BB type cut.

Anyone?

I feel a great disturbance in the Force.

A million voices crying out....then nothing.

I guarantee an Alderaan-rattling move.

I'll guess legarette blount gets cut....

BB often does something that, at the moment, seems quite dramatic. With time, we see the decision is solid and NE goes about winning 12+ games.

I suspect the same will happen this year. I just don't know who it will involve. Solder (I don't want/think, but BB is a crazy dude) ?

Blount is an absolute terrible guess. He was playing then because he is suspended the first game.
I agree but, it wouldn't be nearly as bad as cutting Meriweather and Sanders.

Chandler Jones, Mayo, Solder -- those are the three remotely plausible trades. (Not Vollmer because nobody would pay for him, on the theory that the Patriots know his health better than a buyer would.) I don't see the healthy depth at OT for it to be Solder. Mayo would seem like a bit of a betrayal after the restructuring. So Jones is the "top" candidate.

That would be absolutely mind boggling considering how bad/unproven our crop of CB's currently is. The Pats could use all the pass rush they can get their hands on.

There usually is one every year. If I only had one guess, my guess is Logan Ryan could be on the outside looking in. Maybe he survives off presumed need, but I don't know. He's been abysmal since last season where he was replaced in several games, including the SB after playing prominently at the start of such a big game. But then again, would that really qualify as a "WTF Move" to anyone who has been paying attention?

I would agree, among those three, Jones would be the possibility IMHO.

OK - now what follows is just "shocker" fun, no more, no less.

Our Dbackfield is loaded with jags and rookies & 2nd year players that may be really good - just too soon to tell, they may know however, so, in typical BB style, out goes Devin.

After that, look towards a shocker trade getting value from Garrapolo, as in a #1, not next year (given goodells penalty) but in 2017. That would blow up the Internet for sure!

Here's hoping the move is a surprise addition rather than trading away someone.

It's happened before think Derek Burgess.

If the team thinks Flowers is legit, I could envision a Jones trade now or sometime down the road. Ninkovich is a beast, and Sheard looks like a starter (heck of a player vs. the run compared to Jones). Grissom/Johnson would still be our 4th/5th DEs. Jones is gone most likely after his first contract.

Mayo is better off kept. He's a leader/frees up Collins/Hightower & his contract limits his trade value.

Solder trade would shock/scare the heck out of everyone, so that qualified. :D

Better yet keep Jimmy for the season wait until a team makes there selection in the first round and just trade for the player instead of the draft pick and then really wait for the internet to break.

I fully expect the unexpected. But it is a known unknown so we won't see it coming. BB simply loves to troll the fanbase. :)

I'm fond of JAG but I would love something along those lines. :)

Actually, there isn't a WTF move almost every year.. More like every 3-4 years.. But who's counting..
