Wonder if wearing the uniform is part of his deal with the Navy. Some free publicity and a recruiting tool?

Yeah I wondering that too. He's working for the Pats at this time so I bet it's part of the deal and I'm sure he's proud to wear it.

I always liked the working whites, except when we had some important thing like a change of command ceremony, etc. Then, those devious mess stewards would conspire to serve lasagna, or chicken adobo, or some other tomato-sauce heavy main dish. You quickly learned the value of linen napkins and good eating manners. :)

If you look at the picture, would someone explain to the me the odd posture Cardona is in. It almost looks like he bowing. Now I wish I never gave Volin the click. I'm disturbed. ;)

I'm not sure, but it looks to me like he's about to (try to) slip on his shoes without bending over.

Even though he's a rookie, he's probably been warned that Goodell or Kensil or someone will appear behind him if he bends over.

Love to see them try on him though. :D

Change of Command Ceremonies are the worst for every branch. Don't even remind me of those in the army, god damn.

Has anyone heard if the Navy has released him to play football? It's been done before, but it's not automatic. Roger Staubach had to serve a four year tour before resigning his commission and going to the NFL.

My understanding is that they have, in fact, worked out an arrangement at least for this season.
