The D&C Show: Mortensen is lying about the Krafts apologizing

We should start a movement to stop tuning in until the jackasses are off the air.
who tunes in the the first place. No need

I suppose it may be considered a win for Tanguay and WEEI and the other idiots that I even respond here right now.

However, I'm a sports junkie, I read it all, listen to it all and watch it all.

The worst of the group, those that I simply cannot stomach, for whatever reason ( ratings driven agenda, stupidity, revenge ) are the following:

Felger
Mazz
Tanguay
Borges
Tomase
Shaugnessey
** I'll leave ESPN out of this and stay local

They are all dead to me, period -- if that's winning for those guys, congratulations!!

tanguay is just another green teamer (celtics homer) that is upset the Patriots have become THE team of Boston and his hate intensified ten fold when Bob Socci got the job over him for play by play and then it intensified even more when 98.5 fired him from doing the pre and post.

Because I won't give them the pleasure of actually listening to their show, I'm on this thread because I wanted to know what Mort had to say in his appearance . Clearly it was another bait and switch scam from those sewer dwelling pond scum.

BTW- Everything that's been written about Tanguay is true, he really has become unlistenable .We all know it, however by constantly talking about it, we are in some way giving him credence. It's like some one telling him, "Hey , Gary, they got a huge thread over at Patsfans about how much you piss them off" To which Gary replies, "Great news, now go tell my bosses".

It would be a better tactic to simply put him and all the shows he appears on....on "ignore". Let us truly make Tanguay what he has chosen to become, and that's irrelevant and not worth our time or effort to even think about him.

No Mort so far...just Florio....nothing new to report. That Tanguay guy is ....different....

Tanguay admitted that if the Patriots didn't fire him as the preshow announcer on 98.5, he would have looked at the whole Delfategate thing totally differently. The funny thing is that Tanguay has chastized Minehann about a conflict of interest because Brady does a weekly show on D&C.

The Pats should go marshawn lynch on ESPN Sunday Countdown and MNF pre and post game. They shows mortenson appear on.

Reiss can be left to do his job, no need to boycott him.

In one of these threads I warned y'all that Tanguay was going to be on and it would be a bunch of verbal diarrhea.

What bothered me most about the Interview Mort had in the desert was he told them he called the league after he read Kravitz report. But recently "up here" did he not say that the league called him and told him about the balls, and did he not differentiate his opinion on being lied to based on them calling him and he not calling them?

He was a nice guy when he hosted on The Sports Hub and it got him canned. Hes trying to reinvent his on-air persona and he is failing miserably.

Hes thinks by being the ultra-contrarian will allow him to better survive in his market. Whether he came to this conclusion himself or Comcast or the SportsHub has forced him to the Dark Side is unknown.

I haven't been listening to the morning show specifically because I don't want to hear his act. But I did hear him on a commercial during the afternoon show and he said (paraphrasing) "Hi Patriots fans, bad news for you, I'm back on the D & C Show this week...."

Clearly he's enjoying his new persona and is playing it up as much as possible

I lasted for five minutes on WEEI until Gary Tanguay forced me to to change the channel to 98.5. So the two things I got this morning is that Chris Mortensen is a liar and Tanuagy's faux contrarian act is insufferable.

I can't believe I am saying this, but I would rather listen to Bert Breer on 98.5.

Thank you for summing up Tanguay as a "faux contrarian," that's exactly what he is as he attempts to get a permanent WEEI gig by trying to be like Felger. I don't listen to sports radio much anymore because it's so bad, but I will never listen to any show with Tanguay or Breer for that matter.

Yep. I skimmed a 1/2 assed article he wrote and in the very 1st paragraph hes anointed himself as "Public Enemy #1". Clearly hes in on-air persona branding mode. Without providing value that has a short shelf-life.

Does Jonathan have a twitter account? Why not come out and put this to rest. Who ever is running the PR department for Pats needs to be fired...like now !

There is no need to respond. We know mort's track record. All reporters do this crap...claim something so the offending party responds so more stories are created and if you dont respond you agree with the claim.

However I'm not sure whether going after one of your broadcast partners falls under that agreement.

It's a brilliant idea, Fence ,by publicly asking ESPN to correct errors in their reporting. They either get relief, or "leaking " the request to their competitors will create the same results. The question is, WILL they do it?

No, the Patriots will not.
It is abundantly clear that Bob's latest "speech" was simply to quell fan distaste of his surrender to the 31 before he got booed at summer camp.
Some of us said fine with the words, but where's the action? Not looking for him to tilt at windmills by suing the league but a concerted PUBLIC aggressive stance vs the broadcasters and the Morts of the world would be appropriate.

<crickets>

I think if the Patriots were to respond, it would have to be with questions.

that might give the media trolls something to move forward on and try to collect some information.
  1. Why motivation would Mort have in proving false information?
  2. How does he gain from something that can be confirmed or denied by the sources?
  3. What number(s) were used to contact him and how did he confirm that it was indeed Bob/Johnathan Kraft?
  4. Perhaps go into "reverse" and say it's interesting how Mort said we apologized, when we did have a conversation and he was the one who apologized. Perhaps his bosses got word of this and decided to flip the narrative. If so, why would they do such a thing.
    1. By the way, here's the recording of our phone conversation.

True, but when this mor(t)on is directly quoting Bob and Jonathan that they apologized to him, even then you maintain silence? unbelievable ~ Is there a drug that helps to grow a pair, there appears to be a need for it. SMH /

Not if you're in Arizona though. Tubes don't go that far.

For those unfamiliar with the meme, this is a Senator from Alaska testifying about the internet. All dialogue is taken from testimony and you can find it on youtube, but it's more fun with music and pictures.

So, don't let your tubes get clogged or you won't get that email in time.
