  • David Andrews -- smart, plays hard/tough/edgy, lacking some strength (analogy: Wendell)
  • Chris Harper -- good route runner
  • Rufus Johnson -- looks the part, but tweener
Johnson was out of football last year, so I presume he could easily be gotten onto the PS, at least to start with. (Especially because he was out of football last year.) The others are classic UDFAs with chances to make the roster.

Off topic ,but Reiss is the most disappointing reporter in this deflate gate stuff -- he took a 'wait and see approach' / didn't rush to judgement early on, and now he should be attacking the NFL the way Stradley is (and even more-so since Patriots is Reiss's only reporting domain)

You can't be serious with this. Reiss is lucky he hasn't been fired for daring to counter the ESPN narrative while writing under its banner.

Reiss has been as strong and as strident as he possibly could be under the circumstances - especially after the Mortensen article proved to be an outright lie.

He works for ESPN....the network that invented deflategate.

Reiss is methodical, regimented, focused and highly-committed in covering this team. His mission is to inform and entertain his readership. I appreciate that.

I actually appreciate him more for not getting too mixed up in this crap.

I think ESPN has handcuffed him on a number of levels. Some good and some bad.

With that said, I think he has been very critical of Goodell and the NFL.

Unlike dipshit Mort and several others, his journalistic integrity has remained intact which these days is turning into the exception rather than the norm.

I'm not surprised about Andrews. When they took him, i went and read up on the kid. Smart, tough, determined. He's got some work to do, but give him a year on PS or bottom seven in an NFL conditioning program and he could be a very solid center.

Not sure why Harper came out early. I knew nothing about him - had never heard of him - but watching him play, i can't imagine he wouldn't have been a fairly high pick in 2016 if he had done his last year of college.

And Reiss is one of the best out there. it's so refreshing to see a Boston sportswriter who doesn't HATE Boston teams. Reiss is my favorite.

Very dissappointed too. I get the whole feed your family thing but you have to live with your choices you lie with the dogs and I call you a dog that's not my fault. Forget about where he stands or how he covered defamegate because I just don't like ESPN anymore and next time I bump into Reiss I'll let him know.

One of my favorite parts of the pre season game was about an hour before standing in the optum club two feet from the field and Sal Pal walks by and I just yelled at ESPN sux he looked right at me a little surprised and then looked away and kept walking I loudly defended why as he walked off stating why you surprised you work for a company that tells lies and you think no one here is going to call it out.

If I see Reiss you better believe I will say the same thing.

And because of this he has been labeled the "5th Kraft son" by douchebag felger.

Loved it when felger tried to bad mouth Reiss and Reiss wasn't having it and called up and put him in his place.

Talk about hijacking a thread

You can count the number of times Felger actually being apologetic on one hand. That was one of them. The other 4 were times were for Sara.

Reiss is one of the good guys, he didn't parrot the company line on deflategate. He is a good reporter.
Do you generally root for Jets employees? Same thing applies to ESPN employees once you dawn the green you suck, once you dawn the four letters you suck.

The guy is supporting his family ESPN is much higher paying than his previous gig. He is very fair in his reporting on the Patriots. No I don't hate Tefy B for working in Bristol, nor Willie Mac for working for the evil empire itself.

Jets pay their players well and those guys are feeding their families too.

Perspective...seriously, find some.
My perspective is fine ESPN is a shady evil corporation that has collectively trolled at the least if not outright defrauded the people of New England I choose not to like their reporting, reporters, and pretty much everything that's not live sports that has to do with them.

Reiss can work their if he wants he has the right to feed his family. I have the right as a consumer to say he sux for doing such.
