Tanguay needs to take contrarian lessons from Felger. Felger at least knows how to make the contrarian character work in that he doesn't sound like a complete idiot when he spews contrarian crap he doesn't believe. Tanguay just takes Gerry's argument and just says the opposite no matter how ridiculous it is.

the Kraft's probably said something to the effect of, "I'm sorry the NFL* has put you in this position" and didn't apologize for calling him out on his false report. just keep doubling down and repeat a lie long enough and people will believe it.

I can't wait for BSPN to try and set put a sports center desk in the parking lot at foxboro for opening night. I fully expect it to be attacked by a mass of Pats fans carrying pitchforks and torches! ( If you are in the pitchfork and torch crowd, beware of Ray Lewis, because, he has already killed at least one NFL fan that we know of.

He brings absolutely no value. NONE.

A couple of nights ago, Felger flat out admitted that his belief is that no one likes to listen "yes-men, homer broadcasts." It makes for a boring show. His firm belief is that people want debate. They want discussion. I'm ok with that as well. He takes it a bit too far but it is what it is. I can deal with him. Mazz I can't stand. Hes uninformed and doesnt have the depth to discuss football. He does with baseball but the problem is his voice....oh that voice. Like a baby with a chest cold crying at 3am.....

The difference is Felger trolls the fan base but at least creates an arguement that is -at a minimum somewhat reasoned and somewhat logical in its points.

Tanguay's is based on sheer ignorance, stubbornness and with an agenda biased vs the Patriots. He thinks hes taking the contrarian angle but he isn't doing it with the tact as Felger is. He doesn't back his position with thought-provoking points. Unlistenable. Zero value.

I wish Comcast Early Edition that I no longer watch because of Tanguay & Felger would smarten up & replace him.

The Wells report is a unobjective piece of trash that ignored facts to come to a predetermined conclusion.

That's what they SHOULD do, Fencer. I would love them to do the same thing to the NFL league office, but I'm pretty sure they are constrained by their ownership agreement from doing that. However I'm not sure whether going after one of your broadcast partners falls under that agreement.

It's a brilliant idea, Fence ,by publicly asking ESPN to correct errors in their reporting. They either get relief, or "leaking " the request to their competitors will create the same results. The question is, WILL they do it?

Hes in his late 40s. The guy was actually a journalist at one point for WBZ. I thought he was OK on pre/post Celtics games..Why? Because he came across as informed and educated. He watched the games. He talked to players. He did ok.

He was a nice guy when he hosted on The Sports Hub and it got him canned. Hes trying to reinvent his on-air persona and he is failing miserably.

Hes thinks by being the ultra-contrarian will allow him to better survive in his market. Whether he came to this conclusion himself or Comcast or the SportsHub has forced him to the Dark Side is unknown.

What I do know is that he just doesn't have the skill set or does the homework to do sports talk radio. He is lazy. He is also bitter towards the Pats. Its so obvious.

I expect a bit more savvy and resourcefulness from someone who has has been in this market for 20+ years. Quite frankly, hes insulting the audience's intelligence with his act. I will not listen to him.
