The D&C Show: Mortensen is lying about the Krafts apologizing

I agree, although I hold out the possibility that Bob or Jonathan were pissed at Mort for LYING (again) and went to Dennis.
VERY possible.

It's like Orwell's "Animal Farm" when, at the end of the novel, the animals couldn't tell between the pigs and the farmers... I can no longer distinguish who works for espn and who works for the NFL.

'those that can, do; those that can't, teach; those who can do neither, criticize'.

So, you're saying Belichick can't play football? BB is a prime example of someone who can't, but without him, a bunch of guys who can and did wouldn't've and couldn't've.

How have any of the people you named engaged in an actual, tangible fraud? Also, if they've obstructed justice, they do a terrible job at it, because they always lose.

Well while i am not a lawyer i see the NFL attempting to defraud Tom Brady out of 1.88 million dollars of lawfully due income with a fraudulent prosecution for violating a rule that was never broken. Rico may be the only way to bring this out of control monster to heel.
Only problem is, as i understand it, in order to file under Rico you must have at least to separate instances of actions applicable to Rico charges within the previous 12 months. To establish your claim. The first one is your claim and then one other.

Mort was listening to his answering machine one day and.....

"Hi Mort, John and Bob Kraft here. We were just calling to talk to you about that 11 of 12 footballs being down 2psi report and an apology. Give us a call back sometime"

Mortimer I. M. Super-genius concluded based on that recording that he had received an apology.

****!

I think you missed the 'those who can't, teach' part of it. And BB is best of the best of that bunch. He'd readily admit he wasn't a great football player, but he's a phenomenal, once-a-generation football mind.

The idea is once you get past those who CAN, and those who can TEACH, you're left with the drek who are forced to criticize. i.e. Mort, Felger, Volin, Tanguay, etc etc...the krill feeding off the true talent, but also willing and eager to spew nonsense every step of the way because it's how they get ratings and how they stay employed, whether it's factual or not.

Another problem is, this first part that I bolded has never been proven in any meaningful way - and even if Berman vacates this award, it still won't be proven in any meaningful way. I think only a defamation case would be the only way to show that there was an actual scheme to defraud for the purpose of defamation. THEN perhaps you could pursue some sort of criminal investigation. As of now, there's just simply not enough evidence.

Besides that, I'm not sure if suspending an employee for a month rises to the level of criminal fraud.

Mort is a pud .................

saw this lol. it's just comedy at this point

Comedy Noir. I'm looking for the last scene, where a disheveled and unkempt Mort's found laying on the floor of a cheap hotel room, surrounded by empty scotch bottles and mumbling about how he trusted his sources.

Well, I can dream, anyway.

What's the threshold for felony larceny? I'm sure brady's $1.88 MILLION DOLLARS exceeds it...

It would have to be proven that it was stolen.

As of right now, it's simply a workplace suspension, that might not even hold up in court. So when he loses none of the money, assuming a win in court, then what do you have?

When the dispenser of justice lies about why he suspends said employee, that is criminal. To lie about why he is upholding a ruling after an arbitration hearing, is even worse.

Criminal? At the very least.
