Or while they were doing 3 Games to Glory they heard the phrase "do your job" and it spiraled from there.

I just don't believe Kraft went to ****dell and asked for this.

Maybe.

Thats fine which is why started the thread. Seems like I'm in the minority.

This is not helping the Patriots ANYWHERE near the degree that the imposed penalties hinder the franchise.

I think this all comes from NFL films who BB respects a lot. Nothing to do with Kraft. and the commisioner is clueless about football . You just need to read that transcript of the appeal to see how stupid he is when asks if the jet game was in nyc or what did brady mean by deflate comment after a gronk spike TD (!)

There is also a Patriots' America's Game coming out on top of the DYJ special. I can't recally anything like that being produced.

Agreed on the pull back the curtain. I just don't think the idea came from the NFL.

Agreed on BB. You don't work with David Halberstam unless you want your story told and don't care about your legacy. However being wired and having cameras following you around is not a BB thing.
I bet the idea was to interview BB and Krafts because NFL films figured this is the year(2014) he gets to 200 wins. NFL films has a lot more respect and appreciation for the history of the game and they see history being made more than anyone else.
To include all the assistants in the interview sounds more like a BB suggestion .

Thats a really good point. It seems only up until a few years ago that BB let his assistants out of the dark room and talk to the media. They are a loyal, hardworking bunch and deserve the recognition. Plus it helps their visibility as well if they ever desire for career advancement.

I don't buy the premise at all. As far as BB and the special goes in 2009, I believe these things are part of his contract (as in all coaches contracts) Now I am sure BB specified a lot of input in order not to mumble thru a full hour of programming, and I am sure he was well compensated for his co-operation.

Kraft has been a great owner for 25 years, if not the best, but he screwed the pooch on this one. IMO his legacy in the minds of patriot fans has been tainted more than Brady's, BB or even Goodel's (who was not very well thought of prior to this event and had no where to go but up)

NFL Films is too immaculately run to have anything to do with Goodell. BB had tremendous respect for Sabol and I believe that led to him agreeing to do that insightful look in 2009.

The respect between Belichick and NFL films is mutual. Belichick gives them access that no one gets. It would be stupid for them not to capitalize on it.

A very recent email exchange between Goodell and Kraft has come to light. Kraft emailed Goodell to say "shove it Roger" and Goodell emailed back "no you shove it Bob".

So ends the cooperation between Bob and Rog....
