Curran: Other 31 see this as "Now it's your turn, Bob"

Backing a ruthless, incompetent tyrant has it's disadvantages. Too bad Kraft wore the blinders for so long. Pats fans are now paying the price for Kraft's lapse in judgement.

From a CSNNE description of a Quick Slants video. You reap what you sow, Bobby. You reap what you sow.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has seen Roger Goodell hand out punishment. When the other owners make a peep, Kraft is the first to point out that they agreed to it.

Now the tables have turned on Kraft as his quarterback battles the league in the Deflategate controversy.

"Those other owners are saying, 'stop your whining and take the punishment and man up,'" explained Curran. "[Kraft] didn't have a problem with the process when it was used against other teams. That folks, is why Roger Goodell has 31 people behind him saying, 'don't settle. Take this thing to the mat and to appeals if you have to.'"

Don't feel bad for Kraft and all the other owners counting their gobs of money. Goodell is doing what these billionaires wanted and that is make them lots of money and get them lots of publicity for the narcissistic personalities.

If these owners are so adamant about Goodell's continued pursuit of the 4 game Brady suspension, when in fact THE TEAM has already been penalized in the form of a lost 1st & 4th round pick (and a fine, right?), then it truly indicates that the other owners simply want the Patriots at a competitive disadvantage.
The quote from one of the suits testifying on the NFL's behalf indicating "some around the league wanted more (of a suspension), clearly highlights that this wasn't about ball deflation - it was simply about giving other owners "a chance" - a chance of a playoff game, a chance of meaningful games in December, etc....
I wish someone in the media would talk about this.....
This was never about psi, it was about neutering the Patriots organization and reeling them in back to the pack...

It does. The league as a whole finds it more palatable to nobble the Pats rather than learn how to come up to their standards; would rather play some football version of T-ball with participation trophies (looking at you, Indy) rather than figure out and implement what BB has in NE.

These owners can screw off. Bob...is one thing. And the team was rail roaded TWICE in recent history so that's BS. But beyond that Tom Brady shouldn't be reaping what he didn't sow. That's the primary injustice.

31 other cowardly owners....no individual accountability...there is 31 of them. No one is going to blame or put pressure on the group. This is Group Think at its finest.

I am sure if it were one person (owner) having to stand up for himself against Brady then he would not be able to shoulder and brush aside the smearjob so easily.

'The Shield'? = a collective group of untouchables hiding behind a collective bargaining agreement in which they have most of the power and no one admits wrongdoing. It would infer weakness. They are the definition of weak.

That is what Brady is fighting against. 1 man of honor vs 31 greedy corporate jealous owners.

I for one am glad the shield is taking a hit, it needs to be exposed for what it is....

I agree that is probably the sentiment. However, wasn't "Cameragate" Kraft's turn?
I think the Patriots are on permanent "Double Secret Probation" for winning too many Division, Conference and Super Bowl Championships.

I don't remember the 31 other owners giving Bisciotti a hard time when Rice was fighting his suspension

Why ate things always different when it involves the Patriots?

Bisciotti is also not the one toting the "Do what Roger says" banner like Kraft.
Kraft's fingerprints are all over this being turned into the debacle it is.

Kraft didn't fight his punishment at all, to our dismay. This is Brady fighting and why should Brady just take it?

You're right, I don't see what the owners want out of Kraft at this point. He's already accepted an enormous penalty - larger than anything any other team has been forced to accept before. So now what else do they expect of him? To try and convince Brady to accept his suspension? Yeah, good luck with that

Pretty sure Spygate was 'our turn'. If that is their mentality, it's a ****ing ridiculous one.

The bottom line is that Kraft was played for a fool by Goodell and Rooney and Mara for the past eight years. By blowing smoke up his rear, Kraft has been supporting them for for the imaginary good of the Shield. Now when his alleged influence could have helped the team and its fans, he finds he has no friends or respect in the league.Yes Kraft as reaped what he h a s sown to the detriment of the team and its fans. Thank you Bob for being a Schmuck.

gee.....that's a real neat trick!!!!

considering that Kraft bought one of the cheapest teams in the NFL, used and altered the NFL system to have the value of his team skyrocket past all of them not named jerry jones, I'd say that kraft is still laughing all the way to the bank.......in this small lapse of time, it would appear the pats are getting f*cked, and they are...........what's not so noticeable is that the pats are one of the few teams that can take these punishments and still succeed.......it's as though someone feels they need to burden the pats to keep them from winning EVERY superbowl

No disrespect towards you but it's BS for the owners to suggest it's "Kraft's turn" seeings how he has been on the receiving end of the 2 biggest penalties in NFL history while other teams and owners are getting slaps on the wrist with late round draft picks or small fines.

What has been done to the Patriots has been unprecedented on 2 separate occasions.. and people use the severity of the penalty as a measure of the how bad the "crime" was which is why everyone thinks the Patriots are filthy cheaters but no one wastes a single breath of air talking about the Falcons pumping in crowd noise, the Jets tampering twice within 12 months, the chargers using stickum, the redskins and Cowboys cheating the cap, etc

It's always been Kraft's turn it seems... if a Patriot leaves the bathroom without washing their hands it's national news with crying mothers clutching their children talking about the horror of the event and Goodell levying the harshest punishments in the history of the league

The problem with this is that the "media" work for the MFL. There are only 2 sports networks that anyone listens to.

Nobody is disputing that Kraft has made the Pats into financial success. However that is not the point, Since 2007 when he threw BB under the bus in the camera placement fiasco to the present day through his support of the POS, he has been an impediment to the on field success of the Pats which has been overcome only by the brilliance of Belichick and Brady and will end with their departure. Somehow I don't think the forfeiture of prime draft picks which Kraft has given away with a whimper is conducive to future excellence. I can remember the Bobby Grier era which is representative of Kraft's pre BB management and anticipate that will become the team's future. Let me reiterate that all of Kraft's financial prowess does not offset the fact that he has acted like a Schmuck regarding Goodell.

They keep using the Cowboys and Redskins salary Cap issue. What people don't know or care to find out is there was a "gentlemans agreement" between owners NOT to go buck wild with the uncapped year. Sooooo, what do Jerry and Danny do? Go buck wild and thus pissed off numerous owners, including Kraft who was one who abided by said agreement.

That is wholly different than this fraudulent investigation. The league didn't lie or fabricate information in that case. So, all 32 owners need to be replaced. I suggest a PatsFans.com lottery to decide which team one of the 32 selected will inherit at an annual salary of 2 millions dollars and a bag of Skittles (Heres looking at you Marshawn).
Oh, you mean collusion? I would have liked to have seen that play out in court. Too bad Kraft talked Jones and Snyder out of going there.

Kraft did what they wanted. The owners can't bully Brady. It's Brady who is turning the spotlight on the NFL and showing the world the sordid details of how Goodell really operates. The owners don't like it and don't really know how to deal with it. That was Goodell's job and he f**ked it up.

I don't feel bad for Kraft, not in the slightest. I feel great remorse for the competitive handcuffs Belichick has to wear thanks to Kraft, the owners and Mein Fuhrer.
