From a CSNNE description of a Quick Slants video. You reap what you sow, Bobby. You reap what you sow.

--

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has seen Roger Goodell hand out punishment. When the other owners make a peep, Kraft is the first to point out that they agreed to it.

Now the tables have turned on Kraft as his quarterback battles the league in the Deflategate controversy.

"Those other owners are saying, 'stop your whining and take the punishment and man up,'" explained Curran. "[Kraft] didn't have a problem with the process when it was used against other teams. That folks, is why Roger Goodell has 31 people behind him saying, 'don't settle. Take this thing to the mat and to appeals if you have to.'"

Note to the other 31. Pats DID take an oversized penalty during CameraPlacementGate. Have any of your team's had a 1st round pick confiscated, or any punishment close?

Now you want the Pats to accept a draconian penalty for something they didn't even do?

Go bleep yourselves!

Yeah I get it but even before deflate gate no team had been screwed by Goodell more than the Patriots so it doesn't really make sense to say he's getting what's coming to him.

I agree that is probably the sentiment. However, wasn't "Cameragate" Kraft's turn?

Exactly. Plus, it's pretty for the other 30 (excluding the Saints) to say that when their teams skate on punishments. I imagine Arthur Blank would have different thoughts if his team was $1 million and a 1st round pick. Woody Johnson also probably would if his team ever received a real penalty from the league.

This stuff changes on the daily.

Just last week, we were hearing about how "4-5 owners were questioning Goodell," and in the beginning of this disaster the popular opinion (albeit on this forum) was that everyone wanted Goodell gone. Now we're hearing how all the owners want the team/Brady to take his punishment and shut up.

Who knows what to believe?

The whole "you agreed" to this sentiment is so absurd, I can't even fathom how the detractors continue to use it as a defense.

No, teams and players alike agreed to this system because they didn't expect the commissioner to constantly overstep his bounds and make the most ridiculous punishments ever because no commissioner in the history of sports OR the NFL has ever done this before.

There is a reason why Goodell's rulings keep getting thrown out in court.

Uh, what's the other owners gripe? Kraft was a good little NFL soldier and (stupidly) "manned up" and accepted his teams punishment.

Tom Brady and the NFLPA are fighting, not Kraft. Are they blind or is Curran making something out of nothing?

RK can't accept Tom's punishment on his behalf, is that what they want?

**** the other 31 owners, and I'm still on the fence about calling that 32 owners or just 31.

I know these have been mentioned, but it needs to be pointed out again just how petty and stupid even the rich and powerful can be.

1. Cameraplacementgate was the Patriots' turn in the barrel
2. Bob is not Brady
3. This is about ridiculously excessive punishment for something that's not even wrong in the first place, not harsh punishment for a wrong

They keep using the Cowboys and Redskins salary Cap issue. What people don't know or care to find out is there was a "gentlemans agreement" between owners NOT to go buck wild with the uncapped year. Sooooo, what do Jerry and Danny do? Go buck wild and thus pissed off numerous owners, including Kraft who was one who abided by said agreement.

That is wholly different than this fraudulent investigation. The league didn't lie or fabricate information in that case. So, all 32 owners need to be replaced. I suggest a PatsFans.com lottery to decide which team one of the 32 selected will inherit at an annual salary of 2 millions dollars and a bag of Skittles (Heres looking at you Marshawn).

31 other salty, jealous owners.

He did except the punishment! He agreed to the $1M fine, and the loss of our 1st and 4th rd pics..

RK was the good soldier. Again. And twice to boot. He just wont stand for an innocent man railroaded. 15yr friend at that. Pretty simple. He knows who are corrupt here. Not much more he can do to be more neutral. Just letting people know where his loyalties lie. He wont fight the league. But he wont condemn an innocent TB either. And he shouldn't have to.

While I don't like it at all, I do think Kraft has brought this on himself.

I understand he couldn't really fight cameraplacementgate because he was a large part of the reason Goodell was elected commissioner. He would have looked very weak to turn around challenge the guy he was responsible for putting in charge. So Kraft had to keep his mouth shut and take his medicine, but he should have learnt from it.

The problem is, and the reason he isn't getting any sympathy from other owners is because he told all of these other owners to do whats best for the league AFTER spygate. I don't think spygate counts as Krafts turn, I think it makes things worse for Kraft because he still went along with the league after knowing what they were capable of. He should have learnt his lesson the first time, but he has always been and will always be a 'league guy'.

I don't like it, I don't agree with it and I think its a poor look for NFL owners, but I can understand it. The Patriots, Pats fans and particularly Tom Brady are being punished for the sins of Robert Kraft.

All 31 owners do not agree on anything, I'll bet. We'll see some real cracks in the armor as commissioner blunderbuss makes the league look stupider and stupider.

I'll never understand the logic in accepting sanctions for something that they didn't do. They could have fought Spygate and didn't. They never formally fought this either.

Jones and Snyder went against the other 30 owners and "violated" the cap in an uncapped year. They agreed to collude err...stick with the framework from the previous CBA.

Everyone else, except New Orleans were guilty of something with punishment ranging from a slap on the wrist to annilation.

As others have said, Bob did accept the penalties. He played his part.

I wonder if the owners feel that Bob has power over Brady- that he can command him to stop?

I do wonder if Curren is being fed here? There has been more breaking ranks owner talk lately...

The bottom line is that Kraft was played for a fool by Goodell and Rooney and Mara for the past eight years. By blowing smoke up his rear, Kraft has been supporting them for for the imaginary good of the Shield. Now when his alleged influence could have helped the team and its fans, he finds he has no friends or respect in the league.Yes Kraft as reaped what he h a s sown to the detriment of the team and its fans. Thank you Bob for being a Schmuck.

Has any owner ever spoken out against another franchise's punishment?

Their attitude seems to be "Now it's your turn" all the time.

Kraft did "take his punishment"; the f#cking team lost a 1st & 4th round pick. I wish Curran would have noted that...
It's worrying me that all of a sudden we're starting to see media stories slanted in the nfl's favor, when Brady's camp was riding a wave of positive media coverage in the aftermath of the transcript releases.
