I have no problem with this signing. They needed a backup and they got a capable one. And with the way their line has been for years now, they may need him to play at some point this season, especially considering Pouncey could be out for a little while.

at least he'll always be a "true Jet" and mentor to Geee-NO!!!!...so he's got that going for him..

To be fair to Vick, he's done far more in contrition than the vast majority of athletes who do bad things.
That was just lip service engineered by his handlers to keep the money train rolling. Anyone who thinks that scumbag was genuinely rehabilitated has their head in the sand.

well he is backing up a rapist so good fit

When he had to play last year he looked like his body was on the field and his head was on the bench.

I'm surprised he's even playing ... he wants to be on a team but he doesn't want to see action.

Why is he called Ron Mexico?

He used it as an alias on a police report when some chick accused him of assault for giving her genital herpes.

I don't know, he did his time and he hasn't been involved in dog fighting since; one can only judge him based on his actions, since we can never be inside his head. Seems genuine to me.

I also don't know how anyone can give the Steelers additional crap for Vick given how their starting QB is an even more despicable character.

When the Steelers hire QBs, character is evidently not a strong consideration.

Charlie Batch seems like a good guy, however.

If you actually wanted to be inside his head, you'd be alone.

Oh Christ, wait until my wife finds out.. then during the whole Steelers Game she will rant and rave about how she cannot believe that the Steelers signed him to their team.

Maybe she will miss this news.. one can only hope.

Capable? This is the guy who admitted he was unprepared to start given a week's notice, never mind coming in off the bench.

Stlrs are pissing away their money, IMHO.
