All I have to do is read a thread title and I immediately know whether or not the thread was created by shmessy.

Yeah, IMO, it was one of my better title attempts, but I had to merge it into this one.

Even us Mods are subject to the rules. :p

shmessy, it's a worthy addition to a thread that, like the Jets version, just writes itself every week or so!

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is an Indianapolis Colts fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they are Colts fans, too. Not really knowing what being a Pats fan meant, but wanting to be liked by their teacher, the students' hands flew into the air. There was, however, one exception. Lucas was not going along with the crowd. The teacher asked him why he had decided to be different. "Because I'm not a Colts fan" he said. "Then," asks the teacher, "what are you?" "I'm a Patriots fan," boasts the little boy. The teacher asks Lucas why he is a Patriots fan. "Well, my dad and mom are Patriots fans, so I'm a Patriots fan, too" he responds. "That's no reason," the teacher says. "What if your mom was a moron, and your dad was an idiot. What would you be then?" Lucas smiles and says, "Then I'd be an Indianapolis Colts fan."

At least some of their players have some sense. This Doyle guy is a first class, uninformed do0 bag. Pretending the Pats are the only team looking for a competitive advantage.

Funny thing is I don't even consider the Colts good enough to be a true rivalry. If the didn't pump in crowd noise and crank the heat while the Pats were on D they would have had 'zero' championships / Pats 5.

F you Indy

Awful fans, a Charmin-soft loser football team, and a scumbag media. And to think that some of you were saying last season that you didn't hate the Colts anymore with Manning gone. Shame on you.

Mr Whipple sayz.. Don't squeeze the Colts, you'll make them cry, and they'll run to ommishioner goodell.

I realize this is getting kind of far off topic, but speaking of announcers, the Pittsburgh radio guy is pretty awful too.

If you're talking about Myron Cope (THE most annoying voice ever), he passed away a few years ago.

Not sure...feel like I heard this guy on satellite radio within the last couple years.

The Colts announcer, Lamey, is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. Hell plays his voice on a continuous loop.

Getting serious for a moment, part of the Colt's problem is how they handle being in an easy division. Pats are also in an easy division. The difference apparently is the Colts play a little over the level of their divisional opponents - Pats don't stop there.

Nothing bothers me more than the fact that Indy stole the name Colts and now wants everyone to believe that P6 is in the same class as Johnny U, the greatest Colts QB who ever lived.

If there is anything worse, it's tanking games on purpose to get the top pick in the draft. Anyone who doesn't know that the Peyton to Luck transfer was orchestrated by the Luck and Manning families with the help of the NYJFL, isn't paying attention.

Indy may not suck on the field as much as the Jets, but their fans and organization suck so much that it makes up for the difference.

It's called integrity.

So there I was, watching a preseason game of Indy's, and on their first drive they went about 16 yards for one first down and then punted. The bench erupted with high fives when the offense came off the field, led by the Geico caveman. I'm surprised that they didn't put up a banner the next day.

And for all the crying and whining that I hear from opposing fans about how easy the Pats AFCE opponents are, they're still ahead of the NFCS expansion teams that Indy gets to beat up on each year. Maybe Houston will give them a battle this year now that they have a QB.

Sounds like Colts have a good chance to implode this year:

PFT has metioned a few times their coach is on the hot seat:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/09/02/could-saban-return-to-the-nfl/

and now stories like this:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...igson-makes-decisions-against-paganos-wishes/

On the surface, the news today out of Indianapolis quotes Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson and coach Chuck Pagano as saying they’re on the same page. Scratch the surface, and it appears that the two don’t really see eye to eye.

Amid talk that Pagano is on the hot seat as he heads into the final season on his contract, both Grigson and Pagano made statements designed to show they’re all focused on having a good season.

Grigson said, “It makes no sense for us to be going in opposite directions. That’s not the case. Trust me. At the end of the day, we always do what’s best for the horseshoe. Period.”

Pagano added, “We have no egos around here. Everybody checks them at the door every day they come to work. Players, coaches, myself, Ryan.”

But the Indianapolis Star reports that Grigson’s tendency to make decisions that run counter to Pagano’s wishes has become a real issue with the Colts. According to the report, Grigson inserts himself in lineup decisions, which are usually made by the coaching staff without interference from the front office. That included Grigson getting involved in the changes the Colts made at center last season, changes that not everyone on the team was on board with.

Usually when there’s a rift between a coach and G.M., it’s because the team is flailing and each man blames the other. But the Colts have made the playoffs in each of Grigson and Pagano’s three seasons together. If the team continues to play well, Grigson and Pagano can probably push any differences they have aside. If the Colts take a step backward this season, however, it seems unlikely that Pagano will be getting a new contract. Instead, the Colts will be getting a new coach.
