Gibson to IR, so there it is

Awesome. One of the few Colts I liked. Actually the only one.

Once Wayne sees the work ethics of the Patriots he will one day say something that will be in our favor.

In 10 years for now, Wayne and Welker can do an NFL Network Special about playing with both Peyton and Brady.

Hope Wayne mentions how great it is to play for such a professional and tough team.

Welcome aboard Reggie, hope he can come in and contribute. He's a good solid locker room guy as well, so maybe having him around can only help the younger guys like Boyce and Dobson.

Is the Colts system he's played in similar at all similar to the Pats? Always perceived him as a smart guy.

Also Greenbay unlike the N.E. Patriots can develop young WR's.

They've developed 4 WRs in the last 10 years.

Jennings
Jones
Nelson
Cobb

Book is still out on Adams and if he can be a primary threat when teams pay more attention.

Waynes early season game log before the injuries. Not like TDs are neccessary either with Gronk/Chandler redzone package.

If he can have that level of production it will be a solid signing.. hes coming in as the #3 or #4 WR, so its not like we're banking on him being a pro bowler, just a solid veteran that is consistent

And the Patriots have developed one in that time. One and a half if you want to be generous on Deion Branch.

I'm hoping Wayne gives us a Jerry Rice-like effort for a receiver age 36+

Wayne was the only receiver in the NFL to start beyond the age of 35 last year. And it doesn't bode well for his chances this season that only 17 wide receivers in modern NFL history have started beyond their 37th birthday. And amid that group, only Jerry Rice, Charlie Joiner, Tim Brown, Terrell Owens, Irving Fryar and Art Monk were remotely effective.

Most receptions by WRs beyond their age-36 season

Receiver REC YDS Starts

Jerry Rice 410 5,283 92
Charlie Joiner 154 2,165 39
Tim Brown 76 767 19
Terrell Owens 72 983 11
Irving Fryar 67 802 7
Art Monk 52 695 16
Drew Hill 34 384 7
Joey Galloway 32 378 10

You don't find it amazing then that Boyce still has a job, either? Lol

Truth is I don't really don't who he is. I know all about Dobson because of all the posts from last year that pretty much said pats need to keep him because he had one good game in 2013 and letting him go would be a mistake because he will probably be the next Randy Moss.
