He'll get cut after 4th preseason game...

Ill take it. Not happy about the walking wounded crew but they went out addressed it with a smart vet who can still play - I think.

Insurance in case LaFell isn't ready for week 1 and Gibson's injury is worse than we hope. Also has a chance (though questionable due his age) to click with Brady and make some noise. Good pro, good signing.

Excellent dude.
If he has anything left he will be a nice add.

So I'm thinking the season starts with Edelman, Reggie, Amendola, Harper and Slater.

Lafell stays on PUP, Gibson to IR, Krause to PS.

Nice! I'm cautiously intrigued, although I'm having trouble getting super pumped about this. I do think he'll be better than he was last year now that he's a full year removed from his ACL tear in 2013, and the triceps tear he had last year shouldn't mess with him too much. I'm more worried that he'll just get injured again. Could be end up being a steal, although as a general rule I don't expect much from 36 year olds who have had season-ending injuries their last two years.

Hopefully LaFell's okay and he's purely a WR3/WR4 so we don't need him to be back to 2013 form. In a limited role, we may find he still has something left.

If LaFell starts on PUP for 6 games, chances are that we'll have another WR injury by then.

In Bill I trust.

So, if he sticks around all season - without seeing him practice, is he ahead of or behind Amendola at this stage?

Well glad to have him and perhaps more importantly keep him away from GB. It is possible he could have 1 good year left and though it may be buried here behind our depth is it good that at least it won't be used against us. Or maybe he has nothing left. Either way a good signing with high upside and low risk.

Love this move now we dont have to depend on Amendola and Dobson. Reggie Wayne will be a Great 3rd WR even at age 37 later on. I am still sticking to my guns saying this move has to do with Amendola's lack of production in the regular season last year.
