I'm just sick of the news cycle.. You find out about a guy visiting and you're like "omg can't wait!", then you end up getting no news all day and it just drives you crazy not knowing if it's really happening or not...
i know. just tell me if he signs. my guess is he ends up with green bay.

Waiting to see if the Patriots sign Reggie Wayne or if he goes over to Green Bay...

Green Bay should be just fine with Cobb, Adams, Lacy, and Quarless as the top 4 targets. Hell, I'm guessing Aaron Rodgers will make a new 5th target a superstar as well.

They're basically guaranteed to go 8-0 or maybe 7-1 at home, so anything better than .500 on the road and they're in good shape for a first round bye with a #1 or #2 seed.

Pagano thinks differently than most Colts fans, who are contemplating setting bonfires with #87 jerseys and claiming that Belichick is just CHEATING by getting him to get Colts game planning ideas! Like the plan to get run over by Blount and blowed up by Gronk. Those sure are complicated plans!

Pagano wanted to develop new and sophisticated game plans with Luck, however they are too busy sweeping locker rooms for "bugs" and figuring how to manipulate the heat and noise in their dome... BB is in their heads.

Any talk of these kinds of vet WRs tends to worry me a bit.

Bringing in a guy like Gibson back in the spring is one thing. Bringing in a guy like Wayne who has no knowledge of our system at the end of August is something entirely different.

If Wayne really signs here, either someone is really hurt, LaFell is staying on the PUP list, Dobson isn't making the team, or some combination of the three.

Who is to say that it wasn't the plan all along to bring him in directly after training camp? I find the timing a bit to conspicuous to assume that his visit is a reaction to injuries/not met expectations.

Once Gronk retires we'll have had the best QB, TE, and K to play and in their primes. So whatevs if Colts has Vinitieri for the last 10 years of his career.

And coach.

I'll be surprised if he's on the roster week one, but I could see him as a game 2 addition if he hasn't signed anywhere else since, as I recall, there are contract issues that come into play with a vet playing a full season.

Agreed. The guaranteed salary along with no special teams value is why I think this is a short-term move with possible later year application, rather than certain application. And it may be good for Wayne since he gets to put on a two week try out to up his market value.

Or maybe it's because the world is coming to an end and Reggie is going to be the #1 option.

Exciting news, if this was 2005 that is. If he even "makes"the team I doubt he will be on the roster week 1.

Have to agree that he makes the roster for the first part of the season if one of the WR starters goes IR/Designated to Return. He knows how to run routes and not round off corners...would be a nice addition if healthy IMHO.

Anyone heard anything on this yet this morning?

I think this possible Reggie Wayne signing have aloto to do with Amendola's 200yds in the regular season as #3 WR. Yeah he came alive some in the post season but he was barely visible in the regular season.

Probably not. It probably has more to do with the fact that LaFell can't get on the field.

Never thought I would see the Pats take a look at a veteran WR because 5 WR are injured but its because of the healthy guy they are doing it.

But its Danny Amendola so anything is fair game.

Looks like he is going to GB
