Here's what I know on Dobson's hamstring: He feels ready to practice, but the Pats have opted to be overly cautious and kept him out.

Agree totally with @cpricenfl that Boyce not playing last night is NOT a good sign for No. 82.

Dobson is being kept out of practice for fear of injury, and Boyce wasn't put in the preseason game last night, and sat on the bench. Are we trying to keep these guys healthy so we can trade them?

Dobson has value, limited however, Boyce does not. Boyce cleared waivers and landed on the PS last season, has done nothing but depreciate his value since.

I'm more inclined to believe that the team thinks Dobson can contribute (the reason they held him out) rather than the team thinks someone is waiting to snatch him up. Boyce will be cut, maybe without even PS hopes.

Then again, BB did just trade someone for Devey, someone who maybe had more yards last night than Dobson did last season. So who knows.

Only trade boyce will be good for is the trade for an open roster slot when he's cut.

Agreed. The only thing I'll say though is that the guy traded for Devey didn't look much better than him. LOL

Boyce is untradable. Dobson will have to showcase his skills to be tradable.

Boyce has no value and Dobson has very little. I think they geuinely believe Dobson is worth keeping around.

Yes, just like they were getting ready to release Branch

They have no value. Dobson has no value. Value comes after you show something.

Trade them for what? Does he need a Pez dispenser, or something?

The Patriots have recently traded for Pez dispensers in the shapes of Ben Bass, Asante Cleveland and Ryan Groy, so it's not as if such a trade is out of the question.

Lets see, its 2015 and preseason is under way:

We have our sign Moss thread.
We have our yearly trade pretty much worthless players thread.
We have our BB sucks at drafting WRs thread.

What else should we have because I am going to start them to get them out of the way

Danny Amendola sucks thread?

??? I don't get it.... What's the point of having a fan forum if fans can't express their opinions ?

Boy I wish Dobson would stay healthy.

We could use a 6'3" receiver like him. Unfortunately, I doubt he makes the team.

If Bill can trade Devey, he can surely trade Boyce.

If I had to bet, I'd say he makes the team.

I was optimistic when we drafted Boyce, but he's really done nothing since he's been here and he doesn't look to me like he's even giving his all during the games. It's time for him to go. As for Dobson, he's worth one more chance to see if he can stay healthy and contribute.
