I don't care about passer rating, and neither should anyone who actually knows how passer rating is determined.

I got it - you see beyond the amazing stats. Your a strictly W-L kind of guy? Well, maybe Rodgers has a few years left to impress you as much he has me.

I blame the field turf at Heinz Field for this.

It boggles the mind that the Steelers are even allowed to host games year-after-year on such a poor playing surface.

I can't argue with your line of thinking, it certainly can help us, just as some of the big Steelers injuries too, I still hate them though (the injuries).
Yup. I'm sure lots of old school thinkers on here will disagree, but it's just true.

Let me also add:
Edelman breaking Lane's arm was one of THE most important plays of the super bowl

I don't agree. Lane isn't some top tier CB. We were moving the ball well on them even with him in the game, until Brady just made an uncharacteristic error. Even Brady would admit that was a bad play on his behalf.

Lane isn't elite, but simon was BAD. Look at what we did to him. Forcing him to be on the field was huge for us. A lot of key passes were against him

Hope it isn't true. I wish him well.

Sucks big time, but Green Bay has crazy depth at WR. I still think they'll be at the top of the NFC, and Davante Adams is about to go about 5 rounds earlier in everyone's fantasy drafts.

Another serious injury costs a player a season. Medicine really needs to get to replacement part level in a hurry.
Yep. And if only they could start with head replacements for most of the owners, Goodell and the rest of the League office.

I went to a packers forum and someone said they have better players than the pats and the pats can withstand losing players. Then someone mentioned our soft balls. They aren't even in our division and they are talking crap about us. I say get rid of preseason. I hate to see players go down like this
I love it that the Pats are in the minds of every team in the NFL. Let them continue to fret. Pats should be collecting rent from all of them

Something obviously popped when he cut but I do wonder if he did further damage running off the field. I remember in the 2011 SB Ballard hurt his knee, tried running on the sideline, and collapsed, tearing it for real.

Players also need to just stay down if they think they're hurt. Don't be superman.

Makes me sick. I wasn't watching. Was it a freak injury or did someone go after his knee?

it was non contact. i didn't actually see it. ACLs are 2 year recovery injuries. that sucks.

Same goes for the Texans. They probably won't bother fixing it unless Watt tears his ACL.

NFL won't intervene and do anything either. "player safety"

On a related note, Gillette used to have one of those craptacular fields, too, until Brady convinced them they needed to change it.

He definitely tore it upon landing from his jump. I said it in the Steelers/Packers game thread before it was even announced. Looked very similar to that moron from the Bears celebrating a sack against us when we were up 50-20 or something. He jumped up and came down awkwardly trying to emphasize his stomp, and blew out his knee (what a moron). It kinda looked like that, an awkward landing. I felt Nelson blew out his knee the way he landed. Unfortunately I was right, that sucks, really like Jordy Nelson
