OT: Jordy Nelson torn ACL

wow, tough break for Green Bay, he is one of the most underrated receivers in the league.

I went to a packers forum and someone said they have better players than the pats and the pats can withstand losing players. Then someone mentioned our soft balls. They aren't even in our division and they are talking crap about us. I say get rid of preseason. I hate to see players go down like this

Save your hate for the deserving, young one.

Green Bay is a top notch organization with a great coach, QB and team. This is sad news.

“Good job with that Brady thing.” - Ron Wolf to Goodell
I guess we all have our opinions on who is more or less deserving of our hate. To me, the Packers are one of a few teams that can stop the Patriots from repeating. This injury helps us...though I hope Nelson recovers well and continues on with what is an excellent career.

if there is no preseason then players are more likely to get hurt during the regular season. Brady said one of the reasons he tore his ACL was because he didn't play at all that preseason and his pocket awareness was not great.

I disagree with GB stopping us, even at full strength. Rodgers in the postseason = Peyton Manning

What does Ron Wolf have to do with the Packers of today?

karma..teams who **** on us over deflate gate, payback is a *****.

if gronk goes down again, other fans would rejoice. like one of the posters stated, it's hard having sympathy for anyone outside of NE

Ignoring the deflate gate stuff, there is truth to the rest of the statement. Pats have favored depth over top of the line players since BB has been here. Otherwise, Revis might still be here. They don't want to put all his eggs in one basket should injury occur. 2013 was the perfect storm of (non-QB) injuries, and the team still went to the AFC Championship game. This happened in the Super Bowl when Avril and Lane got injured and their replacements were picked on.

Yikes....not good.

I know we're "supposed to" be upset about news like this. This is very good news. At the end of the day, I feel bad for the guy, but this helps us a lot. The packers are one of the 2 teams in the league that I would predict to be as good as us. And winning is winning. How much do you hear people say, "Brady really should have 5 rings. Gronk was hurt!"

He doesn't get that kind of credit. It's no mercy. I want to win.

Wow. That's quite an indictment.
Rodgers is 7-5 with a QBR of 101 in the postseason. His TD-Int ratio is better than 3:1.
I look at them as the only team in the NFL that has a QB that can hold his own in a stare-down with TB12.

6-5, actually.

I don't care about passer rating, and neither should anyone who actually knows how passer rating is determined.

I guess I always look at him as a Packer (from the 1996 SB). That may be an outdated relationship. But I do agree with you on the "top organization, great coach and QB" statement.

Jordy Nelson out?

looks like Rodgers has to re-edit his commercial campaign..

Disappointed Double Dork

Agree ... he's one of the non Patriots I enjoy watching ... he's a machine.

When not injured in St. Louis, Danny Amendola showed flashes that had me wishing for a Jordy Nelson-like player when we signed him. I don't think I can make that assertion now, as Jordy is top level performer and DA is a complementary player.

Aaron Hernandez used to be a Patriot but that has nothing to do with the Patriots of today. I have a pretty low opinion of Favre (he has pedestrian per-game stats and I'll never understand why he gets a pass on owning the INT record) but I don't associate him and his weiner pics with the Packers. *SHRUG EMOTE*

I can't argue with your line of thinking, it certainly can help us, just as some of the big Steelers injuries too, I still hate them though (the injuries).
