Awesome call, DIKEMBE!!!

Love it, hope they like what they see. I would love to see a veteran like him on our corps.

They need bodies. He has not ST value but at this point what the heck.

Am I the only person that's a little worried about LaFell now?

Possible. Especially this late in camp. Who knows what they are thinking it may be in relation to Lafell. dnt see him making the roster though over Lafell or Dobson. Harper either at this point. Probably just camp depth as well as a favor to Wayne to possibly highlight him for other teams.

Wow. Dikembe ! More than just a fun guy.

May be a stopgap until Lafell gets off PUP -assuming he stays on it. They may figure Wayne can give the team 5 games and then then he will be toast. Bring back Lafell and then perhaps you can keep Wayne on the shadow roster of anyone else falls apart.

Of course Dobson is a factor in this as well and as mentioned above Gibson who I thought was a lock.

Now you have JE, Lafell, Dobson, Tyms, and Gibson hurting in some way.

Ya know, this would not get me excited at all, but neither did the Seau signing in 2006. Let's hope the result is similar.

Wayne wouldn't be signed at the end of TC/game 2 not to make the team IMO.

Edelman
Wayne ?
Amendola
Gibson
Dobson
Harper (or PS)

Lafell: PUP

I don't think the Pats would waste their time to just do a favor for a player.

Bringing him in tells me that they are concerned big time about not having 5 NFL caliber WRs by opening night.

We are looking down the barrel, potentially, of starting the year with:

Edelman (still rehabbing)
LaFell (hasn't seen the field yet)
Amendola
Dobson (still rehabbing)
Gibson (injured last night, no details yet)
Harper, maybe

It's probably safe to assume right now that Edelman and Dobson will be healthy by Week 1, but it's very possible that LaFell won't be, and Gibson also may have hurt himself to a severe magnitude. I'm sure Bill doesn't want to field only a barely healthy Edelman and Dobson, with only Amendola and Harper behind them.

For all the talk of him being done, Wayne was 64-779 last year and in the first Colt game Belichick has Revis on him in the first half (so obviously BB thought Wayne was a threat).
He tore his triceps in early Dec and his blew out his hammy in the last game of the year. He can still play for sure. The question is how valuable can he be to the team.

Trending on Twitter nationally...NE is a dynasty, in the news and minds of the NFL....LOVE IT!!
