PRESEASON GAME DAY THREAD (8/22): Patriots vs. Saints

So haven't seen Boyce yet. Gibson, Harper and Krause only.

Again, I really like Harper's balance. Changes direction well, doesn't go down on weak tackles. I think he's successfully played his way onto the roster.

Harper and Gibson in, Boyce and Dobson out. WR corps of Edelman, LaFell, Amendola, Gibson, Harper. Slater doesn't count as a WR.

I understand that wr is a very deep position for us when healthy, but Harper has really played well for us so far. With our top four receivers pretty much set with : Edelman, LaFell, Amendola and Gibson, I wonder if there is a way that Harper beats out Dobson and Boyce for the 5th wideout position.

Color Boyce gone?

Man, they left Garoppolo's blindside completely unblocked on that play. Gotta figure his internal clock was "if I've finished having this thought the ball had better be out"

Man we're going to wreck Jimmy with these lines. Last couple of times he's gotten to play we've killed him back there.

I think we keep Harper, trade Amendola for Mallet, then trade Mallet for Cassel and then trade Cassel back to the Bills for a 1st rounder.

19 PLAYERS not in uniform. Is the team that banged up?

Iam surprised brady even started today after getting all the reps on thursday . Their main work was done in combined work on wednesday and thurs.

Harper runs a clean route from what Ive seen, he should be considered. Much like Moore used to.

Right now, I think he does. I think the four you mentioned and Harper are the WR rotation in week 1. Mighty carry a sixth into the season using the roster spot freed up by Blount's suspension. If they do that, I think Dobson maybe sticks around long enough for Belichick to see if he's any good when he gets healthy.

Damn. This game is kind of a let down.

Think I was more pumped reading the Aug 19th transcripts.
