Jim McMahon: I know Belichick is a liar and probably a cheater too

Hope that Mr. McMahon's health issues can be addressed.

Florio has done good work on the Footballs Obeying the Laws of Physics Gate. I suppose he has some discretion over things he chooses to print. Under the circumstances, I think he could have found a more productive use of his time than this.

It is no coincidence that in the days following the League office getting reamed in court, there comes a series of reports of that reflect badly on BB, Brady or the Pats. Adding to the McMahan attack is the story that the Colts had their locker room swept for bugs when playing in Gillette. The NFL attack on the Pats continues in full swing, even as their case in court goes down in flames.

If Kraft doesn't understand how vicious and on going this attack on the Patriots truly is, he isn't as smart as everyone reportedly say he is. This isn't going to stop, regardless of the outcome of Brady's suspension hearing. The only way it will end when Goodell and more importantly, is insidious minions are removed.

BTW- I'm still waiting for Manning to come to Brady's defense on this. They ARE supposed to be good friends. There have been several instances where Brady has spoken up for Peyton when he's been attacked. I'm wondering when he's going to show up for Tom.

Bob Kraft is soft. If I owned this team, I would take it straight to the street against this league. They wouldn't just hate me, they would fear me. This will continue until the owner grows a back bone. The players look just as spineless because the owner wants them to keep quiet. If you don't defend yourself when people attack you, they will keep attacking you.

As for Manning, maybe he has stepped up for Brady, PRIVATELY. Who knows?

When I saw the thread title I started sharpening my pitchfork, but if he's really losing/lost his mental faculties to such a degree...kinda puts things in a different perspective.

I feel bad for McMahon too. My heart goes out to him long with all other ex-players who are suffering long-term issues due to their playing days.

That said, I have a hard time believing that Belichick guaranteed McMahon a roster spot before he even showed up at camp. When has Belichick ever guaranteed a player a roster spot. Hell, even Brady the GOAT knows that he's not guaranteed a spot.

I suspect that McMahon is mis-remembering some of the details

Jim McMahon ??? Who let him out of the quiet room????

I hear Barrett Robins drove him to the press conference.

Now they are on their way to Tijuana..... They are picking up Homer Simpson & Bud Bundy on the way.

The Shytpile from the NFL keeps getting bigger and bigger. Instead of quoting a possible mentally damaged player, why don't they find out why after 15 year the guy is even bringing it up. Who put the thought in his head to begin with! But naaa, too much work doing that, lets just run with it!

Feel bad for this guy. Remember seeing something that he forgot his address and couldn't remember his way home. doesnt matter to me what he thinks of Bill. CTE is a bad deal.
If that's the case, Florio should amend his article. How can you trust the recollection of someone who has admitted to memory issues?

Jim McMahon huh? Gee, I might have to reevaluate things now… I guess Bill's a liar and a cheat after all.

Whatever

This is starting to sound like what happened when someone fell out of favor in Stalin's Russia.

So Jim McMahon can say anything about our guys and no one can say boo because he has Alzheimers?
What does this, then, say about Goodell and the rest of the jackals in the NYJFL?
Enlisting such a person to say nasty things about your adversary knowing if anyone bites back it will look like their picking on some delicate flower. Low..Low Low!

It is

Not going to happen. Manning and class are oxymorons.

Jim McMahon? Mr. Irrelevant? Who's next, Steve Bono? Elvis Grbac?

McMahon's argument boils down to "Belichick didn't hand me the roster spot that I felt entitled to, therefore he's a liar and therefore he's a cheater".

With a mentality like that, it's no surprise that Belichick had no use for him.

Florio didn't write it. Michael David Smith did and he's a brainless moron He pretty much writes nothing but Patriot baiting, gossipy columns.

Ok so I heard Mac's interview on ESPN Radio. He said he wanted out of Cleveland but BB & Moddell insisted they needed him and said he will be paid for two weeks on sidelines. Mac says two weeks went into seven weeks and he's still waiting to get paid, BB lied to him.
Well maybe he just sucked and BB changed his mind I mean if I had '85 Bears Def behind me I could QB them to SB Win. Not against Pats of course.

Yep. This wins the Internet for today.

To "know something" requires factual evidence.

Anything else is an opinion.

Why can't people - and especially reporters - understand this simple fundamental distinction?

Oh yeah, that's right - facts be damned, it's all about clicks and and ad revenue.

McMahon's statement makes a very compelling case for the NFLPA that football does indeed cause brain damage.

I've got an idea for ESPN and CBS SPORTS. If they want someone that might say that Bill lied or cheated they could always ask the former Mrs Belichick.

Or Woody Johnson !!

But Jim McMahon ? (Hell - even Vince or Ed would have been better)
