smh...Judge Berman used the word VACATED to the NFL and they still won't budge. Who do these people think they are?
Maybe they are supremely confident that even with all the badgering they will still win.Who knows what has gone on behind he scenes there.

I'm pretty sure Judge Berman has this whole fiasco sniffed out for what it is, from the sting, to the joke wells report, to the pr game the NFL plays to the lies and vendetta's and doesn't want this joke of a case in the court system any longer than it should be (it's already longer than it should be) so he would prefer a settlement so it never sees a court room again. I think he's going to keep hammering the NFL until they cry uncle and if they don't he will just have to rule against them but in the meantime will give them as long as he thinks he needs to break them.
BTW, Roger Cossack is a tiny step above Lester Munson and not that big of a step.

At the very least Cossack is a visiting professor at Pepperdine. So there's that.

But I'm pretty sure he hasn't tried a case since the OJ trial, where he and Greta van Sustren became TV stars on CNN.

That was 1994, for the college seniors who weren't born yet.

Also, Cossack was a criminal prosecutor. I'd wager that his knowledge of the ins-and-outs of labor law are probably pretty cursory.

Which, I mean, puts him ahead of non-lawyer Lester Munson.

ATM, there's not very much Kraft can do (publicly), at least with respect to these proceedings.

Yeah I meant more after the proceedings conclude.

That anti-trust lawsuit is still there for the taking....

I would have figured they'd be at that point, but they appear to be acting oblivious to the possibility that Goodell isn't God-Emperor of the NFL integrity and punishment institute.

They plowed through Ray Rice-gate with utter, tone-deaf determination. I don't think any level of public outcry will stop Goodell from doing whatever the hell he wants, and the owners from empowering him to do so.

They know they're the gatekeepers to the most popular sport in the country. If they thought they could make some cash slaughtering puppies at half time, they would do it, and they wouldn't care if it upset us because they'd assume that we'd still watch anyway.

What was Brady's counter claim? When did this come up?

I've learned more about legal terms in this forum during defamegate than I have ever learned so far in college. Thank you forum lawyers you've made it easier for the rest of us to keep up by simplifying this whole fiasco.
