Trading away Devey is only trading away a guard in the vaguest sense. Its more like unloading dead weight.

Yeah, lets be real, we didn't trade a "guard", we traded the key to a locked door. Quite the opposite.

Pats just released LB Fort to open up a roster spot.

When the roster is at 90 people opening up spots isn't a sign of anything. Most likely just camp accounting.

We traded our camp fodder for their camp fodder, and everyone is happy for the next 2 weeks.

That was my immediate thought. Chancellor is holding out and they apparently have room for a Pro Bowl Guard. That would be creative accounting.

I'm guessing Patriots,Dolphins,Bills,Chargers,Seahawks,Giants, Bengals all have interest.

So Evan Mathis might visit Seattle Saturday or maybe not if he gets an offer. Translation: PLEASE PAY ME TOMORROW

Brian Waters was 34 when Belichick signed him in 2011 so I would think Mathis is a possibility.

IMO Mathis just really wants to skip most of the preseason games but doesn't want to miss too much camp... I think the Saturday timing is interesting since the Pats play Saturday, they could sign him that morning and have him with the team that night hanging out on the sidelines.
