Now amend that to include Mort and Schefter's false reports, air that on a continuous loop for the next 4 weeks straight and Patsnation will consider calling it water under the bridge. No promises, though.

ESPN Apologizes to the Patriots

Steve Balestrieri

ESPN has been airing for weeks the false information that the Patriots taped the Rams walk-thru prior to SB XXXVI. They aired an apology at 12:20 a.m. today

Doubt that will happen. nfl has bspn under its thumb on this thing.

Is it me or does anyone else think it's "funny" that the Patriots have had to twice stave off false accusations of cheating in the weeks leading up to an appearance in the Super Bowl?

I wonder if those who lodge those complaints placed heavy bets against the Pats?

Coincidence or pattern? Guess we'll find out in January, '16.

Walsh didn't film anything, but he said he was there to set up camera equipment and noticed what the rams were doing on a few plays. no one from st louis stopped him. this is what he says anyway.

joke of a network with fools like polian and the ryan clarks of the world.

btw lester munson take on deflate gate is ridiculous. according to him, the nfl is 100% correct.

It would be nice to state what the incorrect report was, but it is typical for news organizations to bury this type of stuff.

1220 in the AM? That's the TV version of putting a retraction in with the want ads and apartments for rent.
Or the Obituaries.
Sometimes they have the same purpose. Somebody dies and you know their apartment will be available soon......

Like others, I stopped watching or clicking on their website long ago.........

And the guy owning up to it is the guy from ESPN I admire the most.

I get the sizzle and the desire for the sizzle but isn't there more satisfaction to claim the steak?

ESPN, it is crystal clear to me, is all about entertainment and a large segment of society eats that garbage up hook line and sinker.

What a cop out to put Steve Levy on, put on THE PEOPLE WHO FLING GARBAGE...if you ever want your network to gain any credibility.

Spineless network...

There is some serious defamation lawsuit damage control going on both by the NFL (refusing to make a deal) and ESPN (realizing their collusion) .... defamation is knowing what you're reporting is false yet you continue to report it anyways ... damage already done ... I am excited to see the rest unfold.... get'em Brady.:cool::cool:
