Sherman can be an annoying f***, but I kind of like the guy, at least when he's not taunting the Pats ("Two four!"), though he got his comeuppance in that one.

My dad is a big Niners fan though and thoroughly hates him. Between the NE offseason and SF offseason, we're having a rough summer :(

Cromartie. Sherman. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Now where the hell is everybody else?

When are the rest of these entitled, spoiled idiots going to figure out that this is about their rights?

Does DeMaurice Smith do anything but show up for photo ops?

Where is the "rank and file" support for one of their own who's getting hosed? When is some player going to refuse to take the field because of this travesty?

Or are they all following the example of Bob Kraft, caving for the good of the 32 while Brady gets ****ed?

He's not really taking a position here, wouldn't call it a defense of Brady necessarily. Just exhibiting the baseline intelligence that every member of the players' union should by default (but many don't, because they're among the dumbest humans on the planet).

“At the end of the day, it’s going to have minimal impact on the season, minimal impact on the rules,” Sherman said. “So it’s just a minor annoyance, really.”
I hope Sherman's wrong about that. Brady's not doing this solely to save his reputation. As a union rep, he knows that he's also fighting the good fight for the players that come after him. If it has minimal impact, you have to wonder if it's worth it. However, if he can help expose what are clearly unfair labor practices by the NFL, then that's a very good thing for the future of the game and the players.

Well Sherman is never afraid to speak his mind. I think after Brady beat the Seahawks Sherman gained a lot of respect for him. No other QB does that to Seattle.

I came here to post the same thing. He thought after Gomer it was gonna be easy. He found out TB12 isn't Gomer and they weren't playing in Seattle. Pretty cool to see him speak up a bit. Part of me thinks his on "football" persona is a way for him to get up for games. Regardless, the difference between him and Mevis is quite startling. No wonder they didn't want to give Mevis' mom access. Her son is a grade A turd.

I thought it was more of look how badly players can get screwed with punishments while teams/organizations are capped at a fine. Guessing he thinks something illegal happend in the AFCCG because of all the lies the league threw out, doubt he wasted his time in reading Wells and counter arguments.

Nothing wrong with fining a player more than a team IF the player is more culpable.
I just want out 1st round pick back after Brady is done with the NFL.

Sherman is young, brash and very good.. suspect over time will become more mellow and wiser.

The CBA will become a lightning rod for the players as what they thought they agreed to and that actual product seems somewhat different.. trampling on players basic workplace rights is not what they had in mind.

If this turns out the way we think it might, Brady may be remembered not only for the GOAT but, for his ability to champion players rights...

I like most of what you say (most of the time), but your avatar picture is so disturbing that I feel I need to wash my eyeballs out with soap every time I see it.

Sherman talks **** most of the time but he backs it up don't get the hate with him when he was the first one to shake the GOAT hand

This is the thing with the suspension. On one hand, the NFL is treating this like a PED violation, by suspending a player 4 games with no pay. As it stands the Brady suspension is no different then how Brandon Browner started the season last year.

On the other hand, its also an equipment violation which is usually a team penalty. The team got docked a $1M plus a first and fourth rd pick. And that to me just doesn't add up. So if that's the case, why not dock the Chargers a Mil, plus a first and fourth Rd pick for Antonio Gates violating the substance abuse policy? They had to have been generally aware he was on to something right?

Its just the NFL abusing their powers again. I think Judge Berman sees this. A ball violation doesn't require the starting Qb to miss 4 games, plus the team get docked 2 draft picks and cash. Even if Brady is exonerated, the NFL did damage to us with the team punishment. There's just no way this can hold in court.

Sherman is complaining that NFL owners are getting preferred treatment compared to the players.

He is saying that Bradys fine is too high. Some defense of Brady. Thank you ****ie Sherman.
