Wildest rumor on a possible Brady settlement (seems too lopsided, but no reason to doubt except my own cynicism):

Daniel Wallach added,

Mike Gasior @MikeGasior
Just heard, @nfl and #TomBrady agree to no games, no admission of guilt and $50K for not cooperating. Announcement in court tomorrow.
This could only be true if owners have stepped in and read Goodell the riot act. He'd never get to such a point on his own. I rate it: Unlikely.

I stand by my anonymous, imaginary sources whose identities I cannot disclose because . . . you know . . . I'm all about ethics and sh*t.
You sir sound like a man with integrity. How'd you like to be commissioner?

no live tweeting in the court room.
damn, we'll have to wait until noon for any news..

Schefter obviously trying to get back into good graces with NFL after siding with team Brady all summer. This report is clearly a lie in contradiction with what zo ( who probably talked to Brady directly said ). Notice ESPN,NFL on ESPN, and sports center all tweeting about it. Another instance of coordinated NFL leaks.

I think it's a calculated leak by the Brady team designed to show Berman they are willing to compromise but knowing that the NFL will never accept it. Based on Berman's questions last week, I think he thinks the only thing the NFL can get at this point out of this is non-cooperation. He views admission of guilt as not reasonable.

No need to leak to public if that's true. Just tell Berman in closed door sessions. This makes Tom look "guilty" in the minds of stupid. It's classic NFL.

I think this guy just posted that to gain followers, some one on twitter noted he gained something like 90k followers in a few hours. I highly doubt any of it's true.

Anyway, the guy isn't even a reporter or tied to sports in any way that I can see. Here's his biography on his company's website:

Very interesting.

prez from barstool just said, "I know he’s 98% full of **** but I’m gonna ride with that 2% to the grave."

prez has literally nailed deflate gate 100% from day 1. this is good news. if prez believes it, it's true
Yeah, hes a TROLL. ;)

No way in hell, particularly since he'd still have a magic bullet left in the chamber regarding the all important appeal.

He's not going to roll over and give up the right to appeal. At least that's my opinion.

To take it one step further, I'm not sure why people are assuming that he is scared, or that this process equates to an automatic victory for Brady and the union? As many have pointed out, this is a gamble for both sides.

At the end of it all, I actually think we go backwards, and Berman orders the case to be reheard. I don't see how it's going away any time soon.

Sad but true Sup. Goodell is going to scratch and claw this to the end. IMHO a leader of the magnitude of the NFL commissioner cannot take a speeding ticket, twist it into a B&E, then prosecute it in the public and in the courts like a murder, put himself into an unflattering light while doing it (playing SLIMY! games), then just to say 'forgetaboutit'. This just! is! not! done!. Prosecutors don't do it, police don't do it, politicians don't do it. People give me one recent example of any prominent person who has done an about face of that breadth? Nobody does an about face when you put this much political and power capital into play and plant a flag in it. You risk a mortal wound for doing it (certainly being wounded by it). Now factor in Goodell has been a titan of power to the public and PA. It's almost laughable to think he could cave in now.

I was wrong before. The court doesn't matter at this point. Only the owners can keep this from going forward. A significant number need to call him and tell him his position is becoming more and more untenable the more this goes on. So the chances of more than a few owners doing this?? "Mr Blutarsky! Zero point Zero".

Even after this long I still am baffled by the NFL/Goodell's decisions and behavior on this. It's shocking...

My sources are now telling me that the NFL is offering Brady 6 games and a five million dollar fine he just has to deck Giselle and admit to using PED's as well as acknowledging he cheats and lies and treats elderly people poorly. It should be settled by morning.

Back to you Mort..........

Seriously? At least hint at a source. But I could see it being true (a low low <1%), like if he has a friend at the courthouse, and the owners told RG plz make it go away, take the PR hit as we pay you to do, TB agrees no future defamation case. The 180 turnaround all brought about after the higher ups finished reading the tea leaves the judge dropped at the feet of the NFL today.

Realistically, highly doubt it. Personal twitter fame more likely the motivation.

But if or when the NFL completely capitulates, I could see these as ballpark parameters TB might accept, and as much as the NFL gets to keep as well (having no other recourse of course, I.E. def: capitulate, -ed v.).

Anyone paying attention knew about that two weeks ago. Also that stat is meaningless due to the fact that two were overturned.

It isn't whether or not 2/68 were overturned, it's about the fact that the high majority of arbitration cases in this district (97%) have been upheld. While the fact that judges do not like to get involved in arbitration cases certainly rings true throughout the country, one can assume that it's not quite at a rate of 97 percent. That said, I'd bet it's in the early-mid 90s at worst.

I'm not sure how much more guys like Mike Reiss can possibly "pay attention" to this nonsense, so I'm not quite sure what to make of your comment? You have a nasty habit of trying to shoot the messenger if it doesn't agree with what you personally believe should happen. I'm all for pointing out the positives, but there haven't been too many as it relates to this issue. Hopefully, that is starting to change with Judge Berman's aggressive questioning, although it may very well be a ploy in the hopes of getting the two parties to come closer to settling.

Begin with the assumption that NOBODY outside of Team Inglorious Bradys and the Axis forces inside FHQ have any clue as to what is privately transpiring and these **** kickers looking for 5 minutes of fame become obvious from the outset. Mind you, if his goal was to kick up 100,000 odd followers, he's done that by making an ass of himself. That's not the type of associate I'd want to keep.

It really makes me question how much I want to follow my social media accounts anymore as well, since these liars continue to drone on about their "inside sources" only to try and make more money and gain followers. It's pretty much discrediting media in general, only now much faster than 10 years ago.

Sorting through all the crap (stupid tweets, pictures, and status updates about what someone ate for lunch) as well as meaningless bragging posts about how good one wishes their lives were (yes, you there who managed to capture your new Porsche in the same frame as your little girl or supposed "subject matter") just gets tiresome. Reading through ridiculous political rants on both extreme sides of the debate, meaningless games and advertisements etc seems like such a waste of time as I get through my 30s and begin my 40s.

It's been great to reconnect with some friends from high school or college, or to try and make positive changes for certain causes, but other than that I rarely even use my platforms to voice my opinion anymore. Ultimately, if people care as little about my life as I do with theirs, we're all just playing a really stupid game anyways, right?

For something that should be a wonderful resource, all social media is is another platform for attention seeking, needy and narcissistic individuals to spread their special brand of ********. Generation Me really is ****ed.
