Ian, is traffic at site higher this offseason?

Just digging a little more, I noticed that last year's offseason saw us have the bigger single day (March 12, 2014 - the day Revis signed) which was twice as high than the biggest single day (May 12, 2015 - the day after the announcement of Brady's suspension came out) this offseason.

Bet the day Lawyer Milloy was cut and/or when Buffalo hammered us 31-0 after was top 10. ;)

thought the site would implode  after that.

Analytics don't go back that far unfortunately. I think I put the tags in back in 2010-ish...I'll have to look. But I wish I had them back then, would be curious to know what that day was like ;)

Roosevelt Colvin's signing crashed this place for five days (we were down completely and we were on a shared server, so we were in limbo). Once we came back up, that outage was the reason why I went out and got a dedicated server and moved us to our own. But that event will always be the one that remains in my memory...that was the most frustrating five days in the 15+ years I've been doing this.

Yeah, and not being able to get any answers, no eta, etc. was miserable. I don't think I could handle that now...think my head would explode ;)

How did the Randy Moss trade do?

That was a busy day but didn't shut things down. The Seymour one, years before that though, that one caused some trouble. We were up and down all day that day and it saw an increase overall to the board that year and that started a lot of frequent outages. That one was actually the start of adding the second server and moving to the dual configuration we're on now.

I just remember the double misery after the 2007 loss. We lost. And this site was impossible to reach. I was about ready to jump off a cliff.

I was sitting on the couch shaking my head and watching the load spike when everyone including all the fans from the other team I'm guessing that tried to show up and gloat. Then I got to spend the next 90 mins trying to shut down everything long enough to get the bare minimum running so I could bring it back up. Another blast of an evening.

Xenforo is far and away better software from vBulletin, which was a big reason for some of the issues with how bloated it was. Haven't had any issues on game day and we froze for 30 seconds after the Super Bowl this past February but then everything went off without a hitch and the numbers load-wise are so much lower it's crazy. Such a big difference, and some of the things I just did recently should probably even help us avoid freezing up moving forward.

Overall there have been very few glitches, even on some of the crazy news days lately. Posters can become a supporter to help things run smoothly..
