prez from barstool just said, "I know he’s 98% full of **** but I’m gonna ride with that 2% to the grave."

prez has literally nailed deflate gate 100% from day 1. this is good news. if prez believes it, it's true

Sounds fraudulent to me. Goody spent Five months and $5millon for a $50K fine no admission of guilt, no suspension.

mike gasior = sharks of vegas BOOM you're welcome!

Ahhh Stephen, if there was any case about disregarding protocol...this was it.

I'm not buying it, not because i know he's full of it, but really only because he started *****ing about how no one was confirming his out-of-blue scoop and how no one would give him credit for breaking this and how life is unfair. Hey chief, when you let yourself twist in the wind, people are going to be skeptical.

EDIT: He also looks a little too much like Littlefinger for me to be comfortable with his breaking news.

DOUBLE EDIT: This was his previous tweet before breaking the Brady news.

I am becoming a fan of these high-tech, digital urinals. To find them all you have to do is search their IP address.

Maybe Judge told them Brady had excellent defamation case and they were going to lose big and settled in exchange for no law suit. Thats the only way I could envision this being true. We'll see...

if only this was true....:)
for some reason i think we're all going to be angry tomorrow.:(

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Why in the world would they settle after all of this? As you said, they've still got a magic bullet in the chamber when it comes to the appeal process. There's no way in hell they are going to fold like a cheap lawn chair at this stage in the game.

50k dollar fine? LOL. This guy could've tried to do a little better with his piss poor attempt at spreading "news."

So, he's basically just SoV all over again? Describing him as "Pro Brady" doesn't do it justice. Everyone with half a brain knew that there was going to be a suspension, not a 25k dollar fine, and suggesting strong punishments for the Colts as well (like it was ever about them or anyone else) is just whacky.

Perhaps the NFL feels that if they settle they won't need to explain anything except that they wanted to put the past behind them for the good of the 2015 season.

Losing in court (while being able to appeal still) means that the first judge is throwing the Wells Report and the 3+m spent on that and legal expenses and its all for basically nothing except a few more years of legal fees.

If the NFL knows they can't win in court, then a settlement is the next best thing to a victory they can claim simply because it won't be a flat out defeat.

Settling with Brady also appeases to many owners who want this over. How long will Goodell keep his job if he continues to fight a losing battle (potentially a multi year ordeal) bringing bad press to the brand?

Bad press for Brady is also bad press for the NFL.

I'm not saying I believe this guy, I want to, but the NFL settling if they really have no chance makes a ton of sense to me. The tide truly does seem to be turning, even at the club ownership level. A month or two ago Goodell had 32 owners at his back. Now there are rumors that half the clubs think this whole situation is a disgrace and distraction for the 2015 season, and I imagine more and more will feel that way as the season draws nearer.

That doesn't mean much. Many professionals on Twitter buy followers to improve their brand.

The guy is legit in the financial industry though. But I'm not sure why he'd have this scoop before guys like Schefter.

Buy followers? I earned my 6000 followers one crappy tweet at a time. It takes so much time that I forgot why I was trying to get a lot of followers to begin with.

If all information on his page is trustworthy, this part seems interesting:

"Mr. Gasior founded AFS Seminars in 1989 after spending time with several Wall Street firms "

If he has a good network it's possible someone could hear this info first hand, Kessler firm must be very well known and profitable. Anyway, I'm past this whole thing, football is going on, that's the kind of news I'm interested.

AFS Seminars is in Ft. Meyers, FL. His company has a web site. His web site lists a phone number. I'm surprised nobody called him.

If this story is true Jerry Thornton better take a few salt peter pills ... the 4 hour thing ...

As you said--anything is possible. I'd have believed this report a helluva lot more had it come out a week or so ago in the early days of the owner's meetings. I can't possibly see how they didn't bring it up then, or why they'd suddenly have reason to tuck tail and run now, but we'll all know soon enough.

In the meantime, I'm taking this report with a huge grain of salt, especially since a big part of his reasoning is "why else would Brady be on his way to practice down in W.Virginia?" Pretty sure that's been addressed multiple times now by different outlets, and the answer is due to precisely the opposite of what this guy is suggesting.

I share your skepticism, trust me, but you lose ANY chance if you quit early. The two sides are playing chicken. Anything can happen before your supposed deadline. Thats when you see who has the better case/bigger ..well, you know.

The NFL may have played chicken as long as they could, now it's time to swerve right and hit the curb. They lost (in this scenario).
