****ing moron Bert breer: "I think Brady would take a game and a fine"....

Based on absolutely nothing. Idle speculation based on nothing at all is always an exercise in futility, but for a "journalist" to do it is just ridiculous.

The same guys saying crap like "he'll take a game and a fine" now are the ones who were utterly convinced he would never take it to court in the first place.

They should probably wait until the judge actually rules and see what he says before they start forming opinions, then again their opinion was formed day 1.

brady should attend tomorrow's meetings anyway, especially if goodell is there.

To me there is a difference between "it's up to you" and " you don't need to be here".

Brady already went to NY. He was there. The Judge told him "you do not need to be here tomorrow".

RELAX

Berman told him TODAY to not bother, IOW no deal, Berman will pull the trigger. May even get the decision this week.

When the judge tells you to not stay in town you leave.

The Twitter feed tomorrow will be EPIC.

Judge said "Tom, you go practice now. I'm gonna drop the hammah on these sumbeeches like it's nevah been dropped before, you best believe!"

OPINION lies between FACT and BELIEF. FACT is the product of SCIENCE. BELIEF is the product of RELIGION. FACT and BELIEF are generally defensible with reason, given accepted basic assumptions. OPINION is generally indefensible and the weakest form of argument.

I interpret this to mean that a settlement is not going to happen but we knew this all along.

It's in Berman's hands now. Let's just hope justice prevails.
Agreed. I am slightly encouraged by the Judge telling Brady he doesn't need to be there when Brady has already appeared twice and it appears that so far, Rog has thumbed his nose at the process.

I've never had the pleasure of appearing before Berman but I'm encouraged by what I've read in the transcripts. He seems to understand that the NFL's case is garbage. No evidence of artificial deflation and no evidence that this gave the Patriots any advantage.

The question is: will he just mindlessly follow the "deference to the arbitrator" line of thinking or will he refuse to let the NFL/Goodell just run roughshod?

on a side note, what happened to the contempt hearing goodell had to attend last week?

I've been wondering the same thing. Didn't it turn into a "settlement negotiation" too? Still odd that there's no easily-found media mention.

I sort of get what you're going for, but I think you fell asleep in Philosophy 101.

I can't help but wonder how Judge Berman feels about the fact that a dipstick like Goodell is pulling in about $40M/year while he's making about $200k/year?
