Will he or won't he? Berman says he doesn't need to, but some say he needs to show his commitment to his cause.

An innocent man whose reputation is on the line should not choose to throw outs to Danny Amendola when he can be in a courthouse flying the flag for his own innocence.

I really hope he goes to NYC

Didn't they say Tom Brady was playing with his cell phone for most of the first hearing? He'll be in WV with the rest of the team.

I think he'll go to practice. I don't think he has shown a lack of commitment to the case and I'm not sure it will hurt him anymore than the league lawyers being arrogant pricks, unwilling to engage in reasonable settlement negotiations.

He already skipped one practice to go to court. I think he has shown commitment.

Optics-wise, he should absolutely be there. If Goodell is there and Brady isn't, Brady will get another public flogging from the local media idiots...which could go national if some of these media mental midgets end up on espn to talk about Brady not showing up.
If he doesn't appear, and Goodell does, Brady's camp runs the risk of taking a hit in the court of public opinion. That's not a good thing, especially when folks are starting to come around to his side of the debate. Just my $0.02....
Don't underestimate ability of the NFL's media drones to turn Brady's absence into another "HE DESTROYED HIS PHONE!"

i hope he goes

showing the judge and the commissioner that he is responsible and dependable might go a long way in their minds

we all just want what is best for him

I'm not sure but he is not at practice today so there is a chance he is going.

At this point it's up to Berman to decide who wins the court case, not our local media. Kessler has decades of experience in labor law. If Berman gives Brady the OK not to come because he's not a necessary participant, and Kessler gives Brady the OK not to come because in his judgment it won't help the case to vacate for Brady to be there, then screw the local media idiots. The NFL can harp about how Brady destroyed his phone all they want. The judge has already heard it. Brady not being there won't make the NFL's legal case to confirm Goodell's decision any stronger.

Of course, if Kessler thinks it's best Brady is there, then Brady had better be there.

being in court is more important than some joint practice against new orleans.
And the joint practices may benefit JG more if he has to start the first four games (hopefully not).....

He'll be there. He still gets one day of joint practice. I sure hope he is because that would be awesome if he showed up and Goodell didn't.

I think it would malpractice for his lawyer's to not counsel him to attend the hearing (not that it should affect Berman's rulings in actuality)

Especially since Goodell works in NYC. I highly doubt he won't show up though, especially in light of Brady going.

I'm glad Brady is going. I don't know why, but I just feel better knowing he will go. I think it's gonna be ugly tomorrow, but I have faith he will handle it like the champion he is.

Now that we have the answer I'll chime in.

Brady already showed for settlement talks and the judge apparently told him he wouldn't need to be in court tomorrow because talks are going nowhere. I think Brady has showed Berman he is invested and his appearance in NY today showed respect for Berman and the process. I wanted Brady at the hearing but I think he has it covered and doesn't need to be there tomorrow.
