What are you talking about? Grigson is doing a phenomenal job for the Pats.

Another thing.

Why is signing Anthony Costanzo some sort of huge priority for the Colts? He's okay...but he's hardly top-of-the-market kind of value.

It isn't that he is elite, just the best that the Colts have. If they don't lock him up, then they have to spend big or use a first round pick to attempt to replace him. So, you pay big for the guy you know, and then try to fill other holes.

I expect they'll pay him north of $10 million a year on an extension. Franchise tag is $12.93 million for OL. Costanzo will probably make them pay him the same or more than what Hilton.

For an average LT? That's batshit crazy. Sounds like Grigson to me.

Top 20 Colts/ Pats cap hits.

I think the biggest difference is that BB > CP. :D

I think the Colts will be a tougher matchup for us this year since our secondary won't be as well suited to stop them, and at least for now Andre Johnson and Gore are upgrades.

By which I mean we'll probably beat them 45-24 instead of 45-7.

If this is going to be the Colts team they roll out there, it will be "break" for sure.

That defense is even worse than it was a year ago. Maybe they can drag Brittle Bobby Sanders out of retirement or something.

Just to see him go in back into retirement after his first tackle. You're cruel! I like it! :D

Would Gore and Johnson even that good come January

Both are old. Johnson seems to have maintained good production and now that he is with Luck he could still pull out a 1100+ season.

Gore on the other hand is an aging RB with 11,000+ career yards. He's a tough guy but these smash mouth type running backs usually break down. I would be surprised if Gore could deliver a 1000 yard season but he may not have to. It may just be enough to have a decent running game to open up the passing game a little wider.

My opinion is based on their age , stats, and running style but am clueless to what these guys will put up this season, numbers wise. :)

Gore will be running against a lot of nickel and dime as everyone has to respect a spread offense. I don't think that offense will be the Colts problem this year so long as their core players are healthy.

Johnson is replacing what they wanted from Wayne and Nicks, a bigger receiver, and he can still do that when healthy.

Hell no! The Colts game is a statement game. I will be damn disappointed if we don't run the score up on them to jaw dropping levels. Brady stays in, Blount up the middle until they can't take it any more, keep pouring it on, 70 points is the goal.
Think about the negative attention this might get Grigson from his own fan base and media if the Patriots come in and just embarrassingly drub them at record levels. The headline might even be 'Grigson can't win on the field so he'll tried other ways''.
It will stick in his craw for months to come -- he'll pay a local media price for it -- and it will be just desserts!

The Indianapolis media includes Kravtiz, Doyle, and other MORONS. If the Pats won 74-7, I'm sure they'd be manufacturing some Patriots "cheating scandal" to make sure that people don't notice that their football team is Charmin-soft.

I would prefer a score of Colts 17 Pats 76. 17-76 .......1776.......very Patriotic, don't you think? :D

Thanks for the update about the WFL. I am all about equal rights, even in sports.
